Fantastic eaterie advice to book as it’s very popular. The Carvery is fantastic cost a little more at the weekend especially on a Sunday, 3 different sizes of plates small medium or large. The food is fresh and perfectly cooked and has plenty of vegetables to help fill your plate up. The mashed turnip and cauliflower cheese is wonderful. There’s a fantastic choice in the menu which is plenty to pick from. I am a soup lover and you try their soups. Everyday they have Lentil & Bacon Broth or you can choose a soup of the day . In desserts you should try the Raspberry Delight it is superb. Plenty of alcoholic or non alcoholic drinks to choose from as it’s in a rural setting. It’s close to Lochwinnoch Railway Station as it overlooks it . Wonderful thing is it’s reasonably priced especially the carvery in itself. The staff are wonderful and friendly. I have been there with family and friends and I always look forward to going back. At Christmas time there’s always a excellent Christmas Menu on . You should definitely pay a visit as you won’t be disappointed. Oh before I finish the decor is best and through the windows is fantastic vista of lochs and hills. Also nearby is the RSPB bird sanctuary where you can walk off all that lovely food or build up an appetite to have a wonderful meal.

If you wish microwave meal that's served cold it's definitely worth a visit ! I ordered Lasagne & it came out ' twice' COLD !
The only way that I could get any attention from the staff was to 'phone' them whilst seated , to get a member of staff to deal with the situation.
On the second occasions it was microwaved the cheese on the top turned to oil / fat & even the Manager agreed they microwave the meals to reheat them , ready to serve .
The only discount as a way of an apology we received were soft drinks .
In summary would I recommend this place ? NO 100% NOT , unless you're wanting reheated food that is either taken from the freezer or at best the fridge !
McDonald's might be a safer option ?

The Loch House is an excellent place to eat. The menu is varied with options ranging from soup and sandwiches to steak or good seafood. There's also a carvery which I'm told is very good but which I haven't tried myself.

The restaurant is spacious and comfortable, no intrusive music or televisions glaring, and the bar is large and well-stocked.

The staff, though, are the icing on the cake. They are friendly, well turned-out, helpful and efficient. I'm always greeted pleasantly when I arrive, quickly shown to my table and served by smiling wait staff.

As I said, a very good place to eat in a part of the country that's short of such places.

Very friendly and helpful staff.

Ideally situated just off the A737 and close to Lochwinnoch train station.

The Carvery offers great value for money and the foods excellent, we have been here many times. On a nice sunny day or evening the seating area outside is perfect for enjoying the views over the countryside towards Clyde Muirshiel Park and beyond.

Highly recommend you pay a visit and you will no doubt become a regular customer, as we are! Anyone who knows me knows that I'm fussy. So this is no mean feat as my family are from a farming background and I know good, high quality food when I taste it.

Won’t be back. Been 3 or 4 times. 1st time was brilliant, but each time after that our visits get worse. Ordered lasagne last night, it looked like it went from freezer to microwave. I only ate a little bit as it smelled awful. I made a hole with my fork to the bottom of the bowl and the smell got worse. Couldn’t eat it. I told the waitress and she reported this to the chef. I was told to find her on our next visit (?) ..definitely won’t be another visit! I vomited when I got home. Foods too salty, overpriced and very over rated. Very poor attitude. Restaurant looks beautiful, foods terrible!

Service is friendly and attentive, but carvery is cheap nasty frozen food and a poor selection of vegetables. Lumpy mash, shop bought roast potatoes and yorkshires, grey/dull green pees, tasteless cauliflower cheese, carrots were ok. There was only a beef gravy available (tasted and looked like instant), but no beef actually available. Probably the worst carvery I've ever tried. I can't speak for the rest of the menu, but if it's as bad as the carvery I won't be back.

Service was amazing. The Sunday carvery was OK. The server was a little creepy and cut the meat paper thin. Now when I say paper I mean paper. The mash tasted terrible.. Now to the server when I say creepy. He asked my female friends. Would you like a surprise stuffing. The stuffing was surprising but we ate it feeling a little ceeped out. The bar staff were brill but the prices were a little over the top.

I went along to The Loch House with my mum & sister as I was fortunate to win vouchers on there Face book page! It was a belated birthday lunch for my Lovely Mum! We all loved our meal and the surroundings were lovely! Great customer service! I will definitely go back and have recommended to many!

Lovely surroundings. Great choice on menu and food lovely. Only glitch. Another tables drinks put onto my bill and nearly overcharged by 20.00. No apology given after I noticed. Would still return but will check bill thoroughly instead of just looking at amount due which I have habit of doing.

Had the carvery 2 weeks in a row second week though i asked for just one meat and i got 3 slices of wafer thin gammon, roast potatoes were like bouncy balls and the Yorkshire puddings were solid even after being soaked in gravy i still couldn't bite through them.

What's not to like?? Carvery is very good. Menu is just fine. Friendly and attentive staff. Nothing too much trouble. Nice place to dine (providing there's no brats), Loads of parking. Countryside location. My beloved and I dine there about once a month.

Enjoyable few hours sitting on the terrace in the sun with a few cold drinks.
Terrace is a nice sun trap in the afternoon.
There are enough tables and chairs so should be to satisfy demand even when busy.
Lovely decor and friendly helpful staff.

Went for an afternoon lunch on Saturday. Love my restaurant. I had the chicken Cesar salad as it was a very warm day. I loved it. Loads of chicken Nd perfect amount of salt dressing. Would defiantly go back soon! Thinking of taking my mum for an afternoon tea!

Visited here today with relatives on holiday from Australia. Although there was a good selection on the a la carte menu we all had the carvery and enjoyed it. Very nice surroundings. Staff very friendly too. Would go back again and would certainly recommend.

We called in here on spec without booking beforehand and, even though it was busy, they still accommodated us. All their food is great, especially the carvery. Service good too by friendly staff. Excellent, we'll be back!

Middle of the road restaurant. Food not bad, but not too great either considering the price. Lovely look and feel to the restaurant when you walk in, let down by lacklustre approach to customer service by the staff.

Lovely place set in a fantastic location, service very good. Ideal for Sunday lunch or evening dinner. Serves coffees, teas and cake if you are just passing by or has a daily lunch menu if you want something more

Took the folks here for a Saturday lunch. The quality of the food was excellent and was pretty good value for money. The kids had the carvery which was all fresh and tasty. A really nice, relaxing atmosphere.

Poor quality of fish served within 5 minutes from order no offer to change the plate as it was my first fork and peppercorn in the potatoe gratin. Managers offered no alternative or reduction for the bad dish

Bit of a hit and miss. Have been here 4 times and the first two times were really good but the third tme the vegetables were dry and undercooked and the fourth time the steaks were tough and the service poor.

A great location, this restaurant is extremely well maintained. The staff are very friendly and the food is good. The Carvery is extremely popular and well worth a visit for that alone.

Had a really lovely meal, not the cheapest place to eat but it is a nice place for a relaxing meal, our portions were good and the meal was very tasty, can't complain about that
