Taken to this riverside pub on first day working in the area. We arrived as pub opened and ordered food which arrived in 10 mins which is acceptable for lunch time stop, (ours was second order so don't know if that's a representative time). My ham, egg and chips was fresh and tasted good although not particularly memorable. I'd prefer chips not so heavily salted, but they were well cooked being fluffy and crispy. All in all a good pub at standard London prices with good service, which normally I'd have promptly forgotten about. However, being right on the river/Thames path gives this pub something a little extra. Just a shame that, when sitting outside, the wall by the river means you can't actually see it, but would make a nice stop after a Hammersmith shopping trip, (or a visit to Charing cross Hospital).

Don't expect much but be prepared to love it...

So this might be just another Greene King/Taylor Walker pub where the beer costs £5+ a pint (std London price) and the food is not going to worry the Michelin guide too much however...

This is a fabulous location that cannot be missed. Imagine a Working Title film that requires beautiful smiling people looking out over the Thames as they meet, greet and relax of a weekend and fearless children on their bicycles zipping down the path with the bravado that comes with being only 6 with no worries.

As I write this on a late but sunny September day, I have the general bubble of conversation, laughter and chat that could only be London on a Sunday afternoon... and that weird gold and red row boat from the Queen's Jubilee is just about to go by...

I came here with my family for a meal I ordered drinks at the bar the glasses was dirty as our meals came out the food was cold my chicken was very dry and my husband roast beef was processed dry and cold also half of what was said to have come with the meal was not on the plate .presentation awlful and Staff have a care free attitude and really don't have any customer service skills and walk around as if we are all a inconvenience. all in all a really bad experience and I feel very disappointed. Not the place to go stay well away

Bartender charged me £6 for a pint of pale ale. When I complained about the price, his answer was 'I know right, ridiculous'. The beer was flat and bitter, hardly drank it. I left when the breastfeeding mother and screaming baby sat behind me were a bit too much to bear both as a sight and for my ears. Sorry but I don't think I like my pubs overpriced and turned into a nursery. Most expensive pub in London, surely there are better pubs in the area.

From mr Garry H.
Julio and team at the Rutland,
Just letting you know that my party had a brilliant time yesterday.
The venue is superb, the food was excellent and your team could not have been more helpful.
So a big thank you from us and I've already been asked to arrange another lunch with you in the future.
Please pass on my thanks to your team
Regards

Fantastic location and lovely friendly staff. Had a birthday lunch there recently and the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome, they were very relaxed with us even tho we ended up ordering late, they didn't mind when we asked if we could rearrange the furniture (in fact they helped!), and they even decorated my cake for me! A perfect lazy Sunday lunch, we'll be back

A perfect spot for a pint on a summer's evening.

The food is standard pub fare so you wouldn't come here expecting Cordon Bleu. The beers are generally well kept and there's usually a good selection, the pub itself is quite spacious and there is plenty of space outside to sit and chew the fat while watching the world go by and enjoying the views down the Thames.

Nothing special. Must be most expensive pint of Green King IPA I have ever experienced. £4.70 customer before me was stung £10.90 for two lagers. Tables dirty.
Average setting with no view of river due to flood wall in front.
Far better authentic pub 'The Dove' just a 5min walk up stream..
Only good point is free parking evening & Sundays.
AVOID !

Atrocious experience! The pub decor and the view is nice but the food is mediocre and the manager is rude! Waited an hour for my food - my friends food never came and instead of pushing an order through, they wasted time seeking “evidence” of the order which their staff member forgot to put in then denied... No apology or basic ounce of customer service. A wasted experience.

Is delicious!
We had delicious first London.
This is the recommended store!
There was a fish and chips volume!
Meat pies were also there is a volume, it is amazing the amount of are served with green peas!

Again and again coming to the store in London trip!
Along the end of the River Thames is cozy!
I had the ale in pint glass!

If I could give it zero stars i would. We waited for our food which we paid a deposit for for over 2h.... and after everyones food was served we were told our's was not delivered. You charge 24£ for a two course Christmas lunch, take £5 deposit yet can not tell your customer in advance that you dont have it... that is disgraceful! Never again!

Hard to beat on a warm summer's evening. You can watch the sunset over the river, with nice views of the river and Hammersmith Bridge. They have some outdoor seating, and it's a closed off road so you can just stand or lean against the wall by the river, so there's a lot of outdoor space. Decent selection of beers and ciders as well.

On a quaint Sunday afternoon after an energetic evening of ceilidh we went on a quest for some refreshment. A one hour wait for a frozen pie and having to wait so long that some of us left before receiving our food - was not the experience we went in search for. Take note , unless you want an afternoon of disappointment.

Nice and spacious and quite a nice and friendly atmosphere. The chicken pie and mash was tasty. Nice location on the river and only a 10-15 min walk from Hammersmith station. It's not the nicest pub along the river, but if you want some nice food and a relaxing drink then you'll probably be satisfied.

Charging £8.50 for a cocktail which isn't even prepared as a cocktail is a bit extravagant. Staff checks menu to find out which gin goes in which cocktail. No proper cocktail glasses despite the menu description of tumblers etc. I might as well have gone behind the bar to make it myself.

If you want some of the freshest feeling air in London you need to be by the river somewhere that isn't central. This is a good place to enjoy a drink, or some standard pub grub. Really nice location, only a short walk from the centre of Hammermsith.

Its fine, but there are better pubs nearby along the river. It was quite nice, but the beer was indifferent, and the staff a bit off-hand. It's also rather expensive for what is just a standard London pub. The riverside views are a bonus.

Nice ambience, however the service is extremely slow. Waited for almost 15 mins to get served as the lady serving us at the counter seemed disinterested in her job. In the end, got charged twice for the same transaction!!

Great cask ales...forget about it, only 2 are available, one not fresh...Food is terrible indeed, but compensated with friendly and helpful waitresses. Not very good experience with Tayler Walkers chain so far.

Really like this pub for a drink on the river. However, steer well clear of the falafel quinoa and guacamole salad aka chopped up dog biscuits on a pile of slimy slop. Sorry to be harsh but it really was a mess

Came in for a warming roast dinner. We had Half chicken and beef roast - chicken really good but beef dry even with gravy. Potatoes bit soggy.
Beer and drink selection good and nice cosy place to chill

The best pub food in London. Great staff who are friendly and helpful. Always a good place to take friends out for lunch or dinner. Good views of Hammersmith Bridge and the Thames at any time of the year.

Good selection of beers but awful for food.

The 'duo' roast took 75 minutes to arrive and contained an absolutely pathetic amount of beef. Everything was unseasoned and overcooked.

Granted, the fabulous weather made for a slightly biased view but the Nachos are to die for. Good selection of ales at a price you would expect, given the location. Nevertheless, would highly recommend.

Just had a business lunch and loved the fact that is was quiet (not sure if good for them !) soup of the day tasty. Staff friendly and premises kept clean . Old fashioned nice looking pub .

Not fantastic.
Expensive if you´re evaluating the food quality. Not delicious.

Very popular , good atmosphere.

Great location! Great vibe! The fish and chips as well as the tartar sauce is quite tasteless, but surprisingly, the vegetarian fish and chips is delicious!!! Great pimms as well!

Average pub along the Thames - nice seating if you get a spot outside but there's nothing to make it stand out - if it's busy, somewhere else will be just as good.

Pub by the river with really nice views from the private function room.
We had our Christmas Dinner there. Food was tasty but a bit 'luke skywalker' for me.

Food was very greasy and deep fat fried, mixed with cheese. I’d expect pubs to be serving healthier food tbh. It was disappointing, but the food my friends ate looked good.
