Went here on the 5th July. The service was terrible and the staff were extremely badly trained. I could have done a better job by myself. Restaurant wasn't busy. Took us 20 mins to get cokes. Waitress forgot our order and came back because she 'didn't have a pad' one of the other waiters spent a good 15 minutes chatting to someone rather than serving. Table next to us hadn't ordered at all and had been there 30mins. Ordered another round of cokes, didn't come. Really ?!! A simple order of cokes??? There was only 2 of us!! They were also giving food to the wrong tables...

I manage a restaurant and this place is a shambles. I get its relatively new but surely that means effort should be made. The service was the worst I've ever experienced and I've been to a lot of restaurants (will never come here again)

It's a shame, considering it's the sister to the Norbiton and Dragon.

Our cokes still haven't arrived. 30 mins later.

A WONDERFUL PLACE! People respect and enjoys, nice area with great waiters and beautiful, friendly waitresses, the owner manager is always present and interacting with the regulars at the bottom of the bar passes the River Thames a great view, the food is well made and hygienically , delicious with fish, meat, burgers, the tastiest fries from UK, who vistar London and not visit the Phoenix will lose a great opportunity to meet a very pleasant bar.

The staff stole money from me by adding three pints that I did not have to my tab. Since then they have lied extensively and have behaved aggressively. I have been advised by the police to speak to the owner or manager but the staff behind the theft will not let me speak to their bosses, the last time I phoned the phone was slammed down on me. I am going to continue pursuing the issue with the help of the police.
Its a shame because its a nice pub that I have been going to 10 years. I like to assume the owner doesn't know what their staff are doing but you never know...

Not only we were overcharged by £11 as a barmaid charged us for two salads instead of one. We also struggled to find a fairly clean space in the garden. All the tables were full of dirty glasses and food plates.
About 10 min after we ordered and paid for the food the same girl came and said 'sorry, I forgot the kitchen is closed until 5pm'and gave us the money back. Working in a pub how can you forget that the kit hen is closed???
Outrageous service and place!!!

We visited The Phoenix one hot, sunny lunch time and sat by the river. The pub has a large outdoor area with plenty of seating and an outdoor bar. It felt like I was on holiday!

Staff are lovely, came and took our order for food and drinks. There was a slight wait for food but it was worth it. We ordered burgers and nachos. Generous portions and great food. I suggest to share the nachos, even though it's a 'starter'. We will visit again.

Menu on website is completely different to what was offered today, and a lot more limited. Had the fish and chips, fish was not particularly big, a bit dry and the chips were lukewarm/cold. Disappointed that none of the PFC (chicken) was available as that was the one thing on the menu that we both really wanted. Only stayed as didn't have time to go elsewhere. Won't come back.

Great pub, lovely location. Went last night, had to wait well over an hour for food (wasn't told this when we ordered). In the 2 hours we were there no tables out the back were cleared and most were stacked with empites. Very disappointed. Not enough staff which seems to be an on-going issue (from my point of view) for this chain of pubs (certainly the Flower Pot).

Was really impressed with the food but unfortunately the service and lighting means that I won't be returning. Service was a huge let down, from table not being reserved (and nowhere to sit) and having to wait, to one of the meals not turning up. Also didn't like having to keep getting up to order the drinks but maybe that's how they do it here.

A really nice, cosy pub by the river. There are two rooms, one more for family and dining and one more of a bar. The service is fast and there's a good range of beers (standard and some unusual ones). The beer quality is good and the food looks impressive too. For the Summer there is also an outdoor bar area right on the river.

We waited over 1 hour for some truly dreadful food. Even then, only 2 out the three meals ordered and payed for arrived. When we asked the waitress about this, her comment was 'well it isn't my fault'. Of the 2 meals that did arrive, both had missing items. Both tasted bland and were served tepid. An awful experience.

Really nice pub. We went on a busy Saturday and contrary to other reviews, we experience very good levels of service. They have some really nice beers on. Loved the fact that they have Ringwood beers. A firm favourite. The riverside garden was lovely and friendly family atmosphere. We will be back!

First time here. Felt like they prioritised the locals to us when ordering drinks. Barman didn't look too happy when serving us! Indoor pub space relatively small. I have to say though the outside area is quite nice, lots of seating and a good view of the river.

Very disappointed in the food it had better in the past. Food was cold and we didn't get meals at the same time. I did complain where some food was taken back but the rest of my meal was then cold too, they should really have replaced the whole meal

Staff don't know their arse from their elbow. Tried to order food. Lied and said wait was an hour wait as they wanted to close kitchen. All staff were telling me different things. Won't be bothering with these again. Nice beer though.

The Phoenix specialises in Thai food. The food is authentic (I know what I am talking about; my best friend is Thai and I have tasted her lovely food many times), the atmosphere is cosy and friendly. Nice, helpful staff too.

Staff had no knowledge of their beers. Place smelled badly of paint. Fire wasn't on in November. Children running around as if it was a playground with nobody caring to reign them in.
Plus our table was wobbly!

They smoke their own meat, but not every day it seems. I went for the beef short rib, and ended up with potato skin taco's.
The Phoenix Beef Rationing is in full effect.

Very traditional looking décor inside and welcoming staff, the best thing about this pub is the beer garden that overlooks the Thames. They serve standard pub grub and Thai dishes.

Think they were short staff that night. The boy did his best! May be the manager who was there should of helped.
