I cannot express my love for this place. I love garden centres and this one definitely hits the mark. Organic food, tropical plants, weird homey bits and bobs that no one really understands what to do with them... You name it they have it. If you go you MUST visit Stooks, Newbridge's cafe/restaurant. The food menu is changed almost weekly and seasonally so there is always a great range on offer including frittatas, jacket potatoes etc. It is authentic, hand prepared, fresh food (you know because of the vegetable garden out the back), and never disappoints. I have something different every time just because I am curious! Finally, if going at Christmas, their stalls are adorable.

A garden centre galore!

The expanse of flora and fauna offerings may be your first reason to visit, but the extensive shop inside his everything for each season (their Christmas display is a huge draw complete with the big man himself setting up camp in Santa's Grotto. The attached cafe is surprisingly great for a light breakfast, lunch, and especially any snack and drink in between, a lovely building in of itself! I'm find this place much move than just a nursery, well worth checking out (and the toy selection in the store had may hard to find oldie but goodie toys, definitely a place to shop for little ones!)

We have recently moved to this area and have visited this garden centre several times.
Literally everyone we have met has been so pleasant and helpful. The van delivery driver who delivered our new patio furniture yesterday was equally plesant, despite been unable to find us easily as we are a new build .
We have also eaten a couple of times in the restaurant and found the food very good.
Prior to moving here we used to use a Wyevale garden centre but much prefer the service and staff here and deliveries have been much quicker as well.

Alot of choice at this Nusery has good inside area with lots of gifts ..other than plants . barbecues and garden furniture can also be found here.
Also has a restaurant with good choice, although it was busy when I was there and I ended up going for second choice as filled jacket potatoes had run out!
Outside are many different plants, pots, wooden seats ect .
There is also a garden tool store and pet product area in a separate outside building.

My husband is Celiac and we usually struggle when out to find any thing for him other than jacket potato on menu's. It was a very pleasant surprise to find on the main menu several choices as well as salads and sandwiches available to him. Four of us enjoyed a very nice lunch in pleasant surroundings, helpful staff, and reasonable waiting time and price. When in Sussex we will make sure we call again.!

Five stars for great cafe and friendly, helpful staff throughout the centre. One star award for the fact that whenever they get slightly busy the checkout area becomes chaotic not helped by a regular lack of staff, poor organisation, and the number of items found without barcodes! Some of the pricing is outrageous- eg £8.99 for a poppy! Much better value and less frustration elsewhere.

Well stocked , most of the staff have good product knowledge, small cafe/restaurant, carpark can get clogged up sometimes.
Only dangerous part is the entrance is just off a large new roundabout and can cause tailgating from vehicles going straight on as there is no slip road to the main entrance from the roundabout. BEWARE!!
otherwise its a very good garden centre.

I have been visiting the gardening section for several years now and one person in particular has always been very friendly, polite and helpful. No, he is not a relative of mine. On Friday last, when again he was most helpful, I asked him his name. Tony Allen.
I have given three stars 'cos I generally only use the gardening section.

A large garden centre in extensive grounds which is well stocked with plants and accessories for any garden.

It has a large cafe which has hot and cold food and plenty of cakes. There's a large dining area which has indoor and outdoor seating.

Prices are reasonable and there's good disabled access.

Lovely garden centre. They have a nice restaurant area where they serve tea, coffee and food. We ate there a couple of times already and we're never disappointed, food has always been really nice.
The garden centre area has lots to offer at reasonable prices.
Easy free parking available with disabled parking spaces.

A amazing display of everything! ...So much to offer! Wonderful
Great coffee & lovely staff in cafe.
Walked around nursery! Great array of so much!
Shame about staff! Miserable and had attitude! Unhelpful and clearly weren't enjoying their jobs! Shame when they were surrounded with so much beauty!

My daughter and I visited 'Stooks' Ordered two drinks and we were tempted by the large fruit scones. I always thought fruit scones were supposed to contain fruit. A grand total of 9 currants/sultanas between two large scones which themselves we both found tasteless. Will not return.

What an amazing garden centre. In fact one of the very best in West Sussex. The plants and displays were beautiful, healthy, and very reasonably priced. A fantastic afternoon tea went down a treat.
Newbridge nurseries us a MUST visit if you want to be inspired. 10 out of 10

Just love this garden centre but I have noticed over the past 12 months the standard of cleanliness in the toilets has gone right down. Same dirty areas behind the doors in the corners - perhaps I am being harsh as there are so many wonderful things - but hygiene is so important, please

Well stocked and good quality plants. But typical of all large group businesses promotions are targeted to buying more than you require. All compost offers are buy three for a price. Does everybody require Three???? Of course not so back to the small independent.

Bought a venus flytrap. Was informed by staff that venus flytraps can't be in direct sunlight and can be fed dead insects. Venus flytraps can be in direct sunlight and can't be fed dead insects.

Good selection of Yankee Candles though.

Fantastic food in the cafe at a reasonable price. Breakfast served until 11am, and great choice of main meals for lunch, or a lovely selection of cake. The store itself is also fantastic with incredible choice and very friendly staff.

Newbridge Nursery not only sells your needs for your garden or allotment but has other outlets there as well including a place to sit down with friends and have a cold or hot drink and something to eat at a very reasonable price

Café was over priced, I paid £9.25 for a hot beef sandwich and a pot of tea. The sandwich had poor quality bread and to much horse radish for my liking. It came with crisp and salad. The stuff were polite and attentive.

Large, well kept garden centre with a very extensive range of healthy plants. Recently taken over by large chain and staff seemed a bit lost as regards non-plant stock and systems. Hope it has not lost its drive.

Dreadful restaurant. This is the second time I have been and it has been hopeless both times! No water to drink, only spoons to eat with and incredibly over priced. After this I will not ever eat there again.

Food and drinks a bit pricey, but good. Can get a bit noisy when busy as its a big open plan room. Nice garden centre....much the same as most others.

Superb range of plants (and loads of other stuff). Much better than other local centres whose plant racks seem to be currently half empty.
