This is a lovely place with delicious food for a fantastic deal. You definitely need reservations a few days in advance for dinner, but you should be fine without one for lunch except on weekends. Most people get the normal carvery, where you get a plate of four kinds of meat with as much vegetables as you want. Warning for those wanting to try the Yorkie wraps as I did: They are HUGE. The sandwich didn’t even fit on the large plate and was enough to feed 2-3 people. For sandwiches, you can pay £1 extra to be able to fill your plate from the vegetable buffet as well. This place is well-worth going to as long as you don’t plan on eating anything else that day. :) Service was friendly but a bit slow (as to be expected when they’re so busy), it was clean, and the view is decent.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I attended the carvery with my father and his partner for a nice Sunday roast. When we got there the place was jammed so I would recommend booking a table which I am glad we did. The venue its self-looked great when we first got there however looking closer the cracks are starting to show in places, to be fair with the footfall that goes through there it’s not surprising but could do with a fresh coat of paint.

The food was lovely I had gammon with veg and gravy. The Mustard mash potato is a definite must for me, it tasted great. The staff where very clean and polite, they worked hard to keep the tables clean during a very busy period.

All in all we had a nice time and will be returning again

We've been here for both breakfast and dinner. Both are nice and consistent. The service is good for what is effectively a buffet restaurant. Breakfast is just a buffet, similar to that of most hotels. Dinner is a normal carvery, with the choice of 4 meats, and plenty of variety of vegetables that you can have more of.

They have a decent baby changing room in the disabled toilet (needs unlocking though). The porridge we ordered for our 15 month old daughter's breakfast was sweetened, which wasn't ideal.

Don't forget to look for discount coupons. The are plenty around, so you can always get some sort of discount, which makes this, already cheap restaurant, even cheaper.

I'm finding this Carvery unclean, tired looking and really not up to their usual standards. On a recent visit the toilets were cold and unclean, the floor was disgusting. The carpet in the restaurant was really sticky and dirty. The vegetable area had food all over it and the gravy area...I just walked away from yuk. This used to be a regular place for me, but no more. I'm going else where after that experience. Shame because the waiting staff are lovely. The manager is however is rude and generally doesn't have a 'customer service' bone at all. When I tried to mention the obvious issues I was dismissed and told 'Well we're busy'. Nice.

We went on a sunday which we knew would be busy but it was mental. Luckly we had booked a table because there was a 45min wait if u hadnt of booked a table.
The staff werent very helpful at all we had to ask for water, no one came over once we had our carvery to see if we were ok and the food was ok. Also we had to wait ages for the bill and ask for it in the end as we wanted to leave.
Alot of chicken running all over the place and when uve got a plate full of dinner doesnt seem safe.
But overall food was nice

Even though this is a carvery, it caters for vegetarians who are into traditional Sunday lunch minus the meat. You get two large Yorkshire puddings instead of two types of meat, a whole variety of veg including cauliflower cheese and they also provide really decent vegetarian gravy. The veggie option also costs less than the meat version. I would recommend booking in advance rather than simply turning up, otherwise you could have a long wait as it's always busy, particularly at peak times.

We go to the carvery regularly and have done for a few years now. In my opinion this is the best carvery for miles! We have never had a bad experience here and the food is always great. It is always busy and you know that the food is great when people are willing to wait for a table at peak times. We have tried other carverys and no where else compares.

Ordered vegetarian sausages. Waited 45 mins. complained when every one else's food had not only arrived but been eaten and nothing on the vegetarian sausage front had arrived....then got delivered meat sausages. Complained again and was told my wife who has been a vegetarian all her life and is 52 had obviously ordered incorrectly. Really!

We had a family meal here last night, but whilst the Turkey and Gammon were lovely, others in the group had the beef which was tough and fatty. I do understand that is not usually the case though so maybe they were just unlucky. The veg was nice though and the Apple crumble I had for desert hot and tasty.

Great location, Food, as expected from a Toby (Well cooked and TASTY!) Heartily recommend, but parking is easiest down the adjoining road. check the timings on the signs as the double yellow lines are only valid for a very small period of time, so we never park very far away!

The breakfast is excellent value. The lunch/dinner menu is not consistent, some days there will be sweet potato and roast onions with dauphinoise potatoes , so you recommend dining there just to find that they're not on the menu that day hence the three stars

Lovely place to stay for roast. I never been fan of roast but change my mind after visiting this place.... The gammon and Turkey was outstanding with option of vegetable choice, mash roast creamy potatoes. It tastes like home most of the food. Will be coming back....

We booked here for boxing day for a party of 25. Firstly, Tom the manager was extremely helpful with my booking and accommodating the number required. We were looked after very well on the day, which made for a great experience. The food and the service was superb.

When there today first time for a breakfast. Guy was extremely rood at the food bar . Splashed me and my 7years old son with oil, while reloading sausages, did not apologise, just ignored us and cared on throwing them from one bowl to another. Would never go back.

Carvery at its best! There is unlimited veg with every meal - all very tasty.
The only issue is that they're usually very busy so booking is most recommended. At least the new payment option through their app alleviates the wait for the card reader.

Normally like a Toby carve up but Wenden the Crawley one isn't this busy on a Sunday. 60 minute wait, left after 45. Went to Haskins Roundstones instead where the food is great, there's lots more space and the waiting time is 5 minutes.

The food is ok, go fairly regularly, it can get busy and if I go with a friend or two I book a table so we don't have to wait, the only down side for me is that it can get very hot in there which I find very uncomfortable when eating,

Excellent spot for a late Sunday lunch. The amount of food coming out of the kitchen is amazing and it manages to stay hot on the service. A A+++ for service aswell!
Great place to bring your family.
Lovely Yorkshire puddings

Great carvery here, normally always a wait for a table so best to book in advance if going at a peak time. Food is great for the price you pay and the bar is a nice casual place just for a drink. Outside coveted seating here as well

The food is always really good and there is always a full variety whenever I go there. It's also good value for the quality of food. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend going to anyone.

First time visiting this restaurant. Excellent value for money - we had the carvery. Spacious, airy and clean venue.

Excellent for those who are wheelchair users/have mobility problems. Nothing to much trouble.

Gone downhill terribly - everything felt dirty and sticky and the serving area was a disgrace with slop all over the place and potatoes dropped in the veg and vice versa - used to be great - not so any more it would seem

Went for breakfast. Food was warm but not hot, and the drinks machine wasn't working at first so we were without drinks for a while. Other than that, the staff are always fantastic and the environment is lovely.

Food is always good here and the staff, efficient. Today they made my day - new cutlery! The old knives were so blunt they wouldn't cope with the cauliflower stalks. Next, hopefully, refurbish the toilets!

The Yorkshire puddings were overcooked and greasy and the staff made a fuss over my young children using normal sized plates therefore we should pay for adult portions for the kids. It was a strange experience.

Nice breakfast, for those who are not watching their weight ! The eggs have lots of oil on them. The sausages are tasty. And there are also Yorkshire puddings. Nice staff. Very reasonable price for breakfast.

I would definitely recommend the Toby carvery goring. The service was first class. Being a vegan they had vegan options which were brilliant. The prices were good both for food and drinks which surprised me

Alisha and Morris were the most friendly members of staff I've experienced in a long time. They made me and wife's visit a absolute delight. Food was great as well. Love those refill drinks.
