Great service and and excellent location. Doesn't matter what the weathers like, it's always nice to sit at the Ponderosa with a tea or coffee. Food there is nice too. I haven't stayed at the B&B but I would imagine it would be peaceful and lovely to wake up to on a sumer morning. During the nice days there's normally car or motorcycle meets and people come along way to come here. There's plenty of nice roads but be aware there are also alot of hills to roll down if you come off the side. Overall I love this place. Suitable for anyone. Walkers, hikers, bikers, motorists, cyclists and elderly.

Not my first visit, and yet to see this place not busy. Ideal stopping spot for drivers, motor cyclists, cyclists, and walkers. There are two car parks, one a considerable size, both have disabled bays near the building. Not a bad menu really, offering hot, and cold food. Eat in, or out, as we did today. Even during very busy periods, we've never had too long to wait for food. Nice clean restaurant, offering amazing views of stunning scenery, served by smart friendly staff.

Gotta do it ! Well supplied shop, nice staff. We had a coffee and the boss, I think, was just chatting with the people there...very friendly. Bit of a bikers place, and some cool mechines out there. When we return, intend to stay bed and breky which looks very inviting. Ample parking, excellent views of the vale of Clwyd, and what looks to be the start of some nice walks.

One of my favourite places to visit. Inexpensive and high quality food in a fantastic location. This place is popular so expect to wait for food but it's worth it. You can get a decent meal for 2 with drinks for just over a tenner. Car parking is free and there are some fantastic walks to be had in this area. Been visiting here since I was a small child.

This place is clearly in need of some attention. The place looks and operates like a Greecy spoon cafe. The place looks shabby and the toilets were disgusting with tired decor and door locks that are broken. I wanted a cheese and bacon sandwich but was told I could not have cheese, why not, is cheese in scarce supply in wales.

Out of this world.
Friendly staff, great service and lovely simple food. Very well priced and served well. The shop is well stocked with fancy goods.
Don't expect 5* restaurant food it's NOT that king of place. It's plane simple and clean. Great for stopping off on your travels. LOVE IT.

Great cafe at the summit of the horse shoe pass, very popular with bikers like myself, accommodation is available, the food served is of a good standard, there is also a small gift shop selling all kinds of souvenirs, the views from outside on a clear day are awesome, well worth a visit and highly recommended.

Imagine a motorway service station on top of a mountain. That's the Ponderosa in a nutshell. Great location being on the horseshoe pass. Food is your average cafe fare, nothing amazing. If the weather's nice there's plenty of outside seating to so you can enjoy the views and relax.

When you are going to north Wales you must do the horseshoe pass if you like hill walking and the lovely views just go on for miles. So after all that you can pop in to the ponderosa cafe they do good food home cooked meals and some nice desert s or a good breakfast. There is a big car park ok

We called in on Saturday morning and really enjoyed both the food and the views. The breakfasts are amazing, just like home cooking. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff even on the busiest of days. It was a great experience which we intend to repeat on our next visit to the area.

From where I live in Rhyl it's a nice ride out and easy place to get two. The service you get is friendly the food is hot. There is always plentiful supply of bikes to look at and the sense freedom with nature. A must see place to go and soak up the at peace feeling.

If you are a bike rider you will know the Ponderosa as a well known stop off for many rides into and out of Wales. It is open to all though and offers plenty of free parking some great views and the food is always freshly cooked and plentiful.

Not a bad place for stop off, but food has really gone down hill. Food looks likes it's been there for while (days) and no taste at all. Notice cold prepared food on side ready to be heated. Never used to be like, was always freshly made.

Great location for walks, stunning views and bikers. Tasty food and excellent customer service - particularly the brother and sister who run the business. Both are very welcoming and happy to help in any way. Would definitely recommend!

Great place for the bikes at weekend. Just be careful of the sheep on the road. Also the mobile speed camera van is very active in the area so keep to the speed limits and be safe. Cafe is good, simple basic food a little expensive.

Nice cafe and gift shop, food reasonably priced. Nice views and walking area but tracks are a bit steep. The Ponderosa Cafe is the venue for motorcycles, if enjoy looking a motorbikes this is the place to see a varied selection.

Visited yesterday for lunch. Had steak and kidney pie, chips and peas. Very good portions served cafeteria style. Enjoyed meal and unique atmosphere. Lots of bikers and a couple of cyclists, plus families with children.

Beautiful scenery. Cafe/shop with clean toilets on the top of a mountain. Popular with cyclists. Motorcyclists. Foods good.can be closed in the winter from bad weather. Check out the face book page. Recommended.

Great location to have a brew, plenty of bikers and great walks around. Choice is a bit limited and basic but it isn't anything special. Would be nice if they did herbal tea's instead of just normal

Lovely little cafe atop a beautiful and picturesque setting. Prices are low vut food is gorgeous. They are that good that they run out of hot food at peak times due to massive hordes of customers!

'She looks like Marilyn, walks like Susanne
She talks like Monica and Mary-Ann
She wins in everything that she might do
And she will respect you, forever just you. '

Fantastic views and food. Lots of bikes especially in the good weather but also popular with coaches and cars. Reasonably priced B&B too. Love the 'Shop in the clouds' too. Xx

Not a great place but if you want the views then it's worth a visit. Usually packed full of bikers. The food is poor and the gift shop sells the usual tat at a heavy marked up price.

The bikers mecca.Weekend ride outs either start or end here. If you ride bikes or simply love the sights and sounds then this is the place for you! The breakfast is an absolute knockout!

I first came here on an A level geology field trip in 1993 the day after my 18th birthday.
I was hungover and the Ponderosa cured my ills.
Been coming ever since.
42 now.

Great ride up Horseshoe pass. Lovely views of the valley from the cafe. The cafe itself is cheerful and portions are generous. They have bed and breakfast between April and September.
