I stayed at the star Inn for 2 nights, the room was just big enough for a sole occupant, but felt spacious enough. Well presented and clean. The owners and staff were all helpful and accomodating. The menu was small but varied for evening meals and the food was beautiful. Breakfasts were adequately portioned and again well cooked. It's a shame I was there only for work purposes as I would have liked to take in the surroundings and enjoyed the bar atmosphere on the Friday night. Overall a wonderful place to stay.

Fantastic atmosphere in a very friendly and homely setting. The owners Julien and Rachel are amazing owners who truly have gone the extra mile to make my wife Sue and I so very welcome. The food is every bit 5* and plentiful too. This is a must place to bring family and friends for a wonderful meal, and it will not fail to impress. Very hands on from the owners too. The Star Inn truly deserves every success under new ownership.

It is a pub in the countryside of England, North Yorkshire. It seems that Lenove has ended, it's a very pleasant pub. Meals were old-fashioned menus and homemade pizzas.
Because it is dog-friendly, it may not be suitable for those who are not good at dogs.
Accommodation is also possible.

The food is fine but I was grossly overcharged and so I will not be returning. The place looks neglected and air of laziness, dirty and unkempt.

The chef and food were good.

I was quoted a price then when I arrived I was charged more what a way to do buisness !

Lovely spot with great food, the rooms are spacious and newly refurbished. The owners and staff work very well together.
One small criticism would be the small radiators were not turned on so room took a while to warm up.
We would definatly stay again.

The food was amazing, however they were obviously short-staffed - our party would have happily bought more drinks and desserts had there been any interest in serving us. However, it's a lovely place with great food and we would try again.

Excellent little stay for a family. Room was very clean and beds were very comfortable. All furnished to a high standard.
Julian was a great host, nothing was a problem. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Lovely food, well presented. Nice pub and decor. Only downside is the drinks were very expensive. £7.15 for an old mout cider and lime and soda is a bit over the top compared to other pubs.

Friendly staff even though busy on Bank holiday Sunday. Modern restful interior with good beer. Food imaginative, well cooked and presented. Most enjoyable.

Lovely, relaxing Sunday lunch. Our dog was allowed inside and the place had a very coloured atmosphere .... Just what we wanted as tourists.

Got here late Friday but they cooked for us. Amazing! All freshly cooked food. The chicken pie was to die for. Highly recommend.

The Star is a very friendly pub; to stay, hang out with friends for a drink, or eat deliously fresh food, sourced locally.
