The Begging Bowl offers Thai style meals in a low fuss terrace with a great dining garden out the back.

The chef, whom we interrupted twice, kindly helped us with the menu (there are a few gluten free options not marked).

Disposable cutlery was not cool and certainly not befitting the price.

I had the Grilled Salmon Salad which was great - tasty, crispy skin, delicate flavour complimented by the citrus (not grilled mango). Perfectly spicy and a good size too.

Chicken Green Curry was decent but the Steamed Jasmine Rice (additional £2.50) had dried out a little.

Entry is from Lillie Road until 6pm. After that, access is through The Prince on Empress Road.

Reservations are highly recommended for dinner and weekends.

Looking forward to exploring more items on the menu.

Ordered a Thai green curry and jasmine rice. Thai curry was watery and bland. Also the portion size was quite small. Would expect more for £12.50

Horribly overpriced food of every average taste served in a tiny paper bowl with plastic cutlery. Horrible experience. Never coming back.

I thought £9.50 for a piece of sea bass on some spring onions in a paper bowl was a bit steep. Maitre d’ not exactly a charmer either.
