Food was overpriced and a poor selection - only 1 vegetarian option. Food took 45 mins to come out (we were only eating burgers and a couple of salads), and no apologies from the abrupt staff, despite it not being busy.
Chips were very nice, but the size of their standard cheese burger was minuscule for £8.50, without chips (which were an extra £5 per portion). Cob salad was tasteless with cheap cuts of chicken and a tiny amount of chopped bacon.
A real disappointment.

Reasonably priced, however very pathetic service and lousy staff, very poor level of service, asked one female member of staff for recommendations and how the burger was, she started criticizing her own food! At first I thought she is having a laugh, but she was honest (I wish I took her advice) for I anyway ordered a burger with pulled pork it was ok substandard and I nearly had to wait for nearly 45 min for the nachos to arrive, when they arrived I did not even get an apology.

How disappointing that the new refurbishment of this pub has turned it into a place where vegetarians are not welcome. The only vegetarian option on the menu is a salad. This is really poor. Not only that but they were not interested in adjusting a dish to make it vegetarian. The menu is lengthy and has a wide variety of meat and fish dishes. That the vegetarians have to settle for a salad is offensive and shows an owner and chef with no imagination.

Amazing city pub! Items on the menu seemed a bit costly at first, but was definitely worth it. I had beef short rib which was absolutely amazing and the portion was very generous. My mate had burger with pulled pork and didn't complain either. They also do a different burger of the week which is cool. Service was friendly and very quick, even tho the pub was crazy busy. Highly recommend this place!

Better than many of the pubs in the area. Large, cavernous space with areas to stand or sit. Huge TV for sport lovers and plenty of people standing on the pavement to vape or smoke. Good selection of beers and wines. Plenty of choice for spirit drinkers. Little distinguishing features but staff are pleasant and attentive. Serves scotch eggs as well as crisps and bar snacks.

Doesn't ever seem too busy, and with a good long bar means you're likely to get served quickly. Went mid-week, but was surprised to be kicked out at an early closing time of half ten. There's not that much going on around here, so it's a good choice if you're in the area.

Spacious and nice pub in the heart of the city. It is rather packed between 5-7pm but then becomes more enjoyable. Good choice of draft beers and food as well. We tried the Nachos platter which was expensive but really worth it. Overall, good pub to meet with colleages and friends after work.

Terrible place. Bartender threw us out with plastic cups for our (overpriced) beer 5 min. after buying them. He told us we should have asked him when they closed. Insanely rude guy and the whole place had a fraternity vibe over it. Don't go.

Great pub offering a good selection of beers which seem to be updated seasonally. For instance, I went during the Rugby World Cup, and they had all Rugby-inspired beers on tap. The staff is friendly, and there is decent space to chill after work.

Great traditional city boozer with a nice selection of ales and lagers on tap. On a sunny evening it's empty inside as everyone spills out into the street. Can get very busy friday nights. Mostly post work crowd but it is bank.....

Nice friendly bar staff and a good selection of drinks. Not too busy at lunch times which is good. Came here for a football game on Sky on the evening and got a seat which was also good. Nice big screens dotted about the bar.

Staff is rude. Just came up to me and said what do you want. I said my order and then when he gave us the food, he just said nothing. Portions are tiny and their meat is gross. Not recommended.

Really like the atmosphere in this pub. We go here from work regularly. Good selection of beers. Quick service, even when busy and space out front and back for smokers

Great pub with one of the fastest servings.Plenty of choices, perfect for a evening meet up with old friends and colleagues with limited indoor seating availability.

Great beers - no matter how busy this place gets it's always quick to get served as they always have enough (friendly) staff on. Top food and good music too!

Good ales, but with the acoustics, loud music and everyone shouting to be heard over the music, very hard to hear what the person next to you is saying.

A City staple, as such it can get very busy but the bar always seems to be well organised. Good beer choice and space to drink out front and the rear.

Horrible! I was told the kitchen was closed at 9pm. I then saw a couple who came in after I did get served burgers. I won't be coming back!!!!!

Its ok for after work drinks but staff can be hit and miss even when empty. (Having to wait ages to get served while waiting an at empty bar)...

Good beers and a great atmosphere in the summer. When the nights are longer and everyone has spilled into the street, there is a great vibe.

Great location and selection of beers, it's a bit pricey although more than you would enjoy expect in the heart of the city I guess.

Bad service. Advertised that they were showing a live sporting event today, but that was false and refused to address the issue. Avoid.

Decent beer and good service. Poor WiFi and quite noisy though. Food is good but overpriced (but then what do you expect in this area!)

A good selection of ales a friendly service. I have visited at quiet times when service is quick but it does get busy in the evening.

Never been here but Google keeps on sending me notification about leaving a review so I hope it'll stop if I leave one.

Pretty typical City pub. Staff were pleasant and beery ok. Just not great unless you're a City worker I guess.

Probably the most well behaved crowd I've seen watching a game of football. Bar staff are quick and efficient

Ok go range of beers but usually loud music so don't expect fo hold a conversation across a table and crowded

Great pub for a few either at Lunchtime or after work. Nice selection of beers that change on a regular basis.

Big pub with a good looking interior. Pricey for the drinks though compared to some other pubs in the vicinity.
