The Metro Lounge is a good place for a different generations to come to and find something for them. There is plenty of space for families with buggies and drinks menu has everything from babyccinos to coffees to smoothies, beer and cocktails. The menu is varied with gluten free and vegan options. The staff are friendly. The only downside is that the service, as others have said, can be a little slow.

Have previously had lovely experiences of metro lounge however they have got a new general manager (girl with multi-coloured hair). She is particularly rude and doesn't follow the friendly helpful persona of the old staff. Will not be returning after I witnessed her bullying two young girls who just sat down and told them to get out as they were shut, completely unnecessary and unkind.

Went on a sunny Tuesday evening, they opened the front windows up to let the breeze in creating a perfect summer meal out. Excellent range of cuisine including a whole vegan menu (my vegan friend has never seen so much choice), chatty caring staff and quick service. Easily the most inviting bar/food set up we could find in the area and they delievered a great evening.

The manager here tonight is so arrogent its unbelievably the food was overcooked and when spoke to him about it he said what am i supposed to do about it then to top it all he told me to take my puppy of my lap or leave but was quite happy to serve a kids portion for the dog so i think they have lost a good customer so i think maybe a boycot for me

Soooo slow to get served. They operate a weird system with a food queue and a bar queue but it just doesn’t work. 25 minutes to order when the place is virtually empty as the food orders included cocktails. Just needs organising and staffing (2 staff on a Friday night) nice place but nearly always a frustrating experience and doesn’t need to be

Good pub quiz, however there was some extremely blatant cheating going on during and it almost seemed like the staff knew and didn't care or were helping out...

Bartender was trying really very hard to make his sexuality obvious as he picked up on the fact that I was gay and was pea-cocking at his colleagues. Uncomfortable.

Was told they had run out of bread, hash browns and sausages. Ended up ordering chicken which was burnt and tough with a teaspoon of coleslaw on the side. Table was not even cleaned whilst we were at the table until halfway through our meal. Slow service and below average food. Nothing special, not worth the price you pay.

Terribly slow service. Stopped in for a quick lunch. Ordered the 'Soup of the Day' which should have been simple and quick. An age later we wondered if they hadn't prepared for orders and had to run out to pick up the ingredients! 'Soup of the Day'.... Should've asked which day.

Nice place, shabby chic and definitely not chain restaurant. The service was ok, the drinks came fairly quick- I had a vanilla milkshake- very delicious, the food took quite a long time to come - 30 mins but was hot and very tasty when it came. Nice relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Food wasn't all that especially for the price, and took a long time to come despite the place being nearly empty on a weekday lunchtime. Nice vibe but wouldn't recommend coming here to eat, can imagine it's a nice place for a drink in the evening tho.

I have only been a few times and seems to be busy most of the time. They allow children. which is fine by me but may be a problem for others. I have not eaten but looks nice. Only issue is something there is a long wait to get a drink due to the wait.

Quirky restaurant, with good layout and atmosphere, very family friendly.
Good food and some nice beers, didn't have to wait long ether.
Friendly staff too.
Only downsides are its expensive and the milkshakes are rubbish.

A varied clientele ensures that the Metro has the ambience of a continental bar/cafe which means it is always friendly and welcoming like the staff. It is a little quirky but then so am am I and my girlfriend and we love it!

Not cheap, not expensive..average price for pub grub these days unfortunately! Had a burger here a while back and I was pleasantly surprised how tasty it was. More of a theme pub but they have done okay with the decor.

Nice quirky cafe, with a varied menu. Service can get a little slow, late in the evening but generally it's pretty good. Lots of board games and bits to do for the kids, whilst the grown ups chat and enjoy a cafe.

Food was average, staff not very informative. However for a not at all busy lunch, food took near to an hour to arrive. Me and my family visit often and will not be rushing to eat there again after this experience.

Popped in for a couple of drinks. Asked for a cosmo and got a blank look. Visited on a Saturday night and was surprised that it was easy to find a table. Not from Amersham so not sure if this is normal.

OMG the music tonight was amazing. We only came when we heard it was them and oh yes it was so good. Thank you 91 nights!!! We also tired the delicious tapas: squid, belly pork and chicken teriyaki.

I must confess I haven't been in Metro Lounge since it opened a few years back and I wasn't disappointed.
The food was nice but I must admit that I found the decor a bit off putting.

Staff is friendly and tries hard but the major problem is the concept and quality. Good for a drink and snacks but you won't be entertained if you are a bit of a connoisseur and gourmet.

Food was delicious but the wait was much longer than it should have been from order to eating.
A good drink menu and enough specials to make you happy (and some times trivia).

I live the vibe here. Parking can be a bit of a mare BUT I had back bacon sandwich on brown bread and damn it was blooming lovely and I'm a fussy bacon sarnie connoisseur!

Food was nice and reasonable value. Good choice. Coffee not great. Nice ambiance to the place. Trendy and spacious. Good for a group. Staff friendly and helpful.

Staff are reasonably friendly, but the drinks are a bit expensive, their selection isn’t very good, the food is slow and below par in the area. I cannot recommend it.

Went recently for my fiancees birthday - very impressed by the food and atmosphere, whilst the decor isn't too my taste I'm informed that's good too!

Nice food. Nice decor. Service is a little less than customer focussed. Forgot one meal. Has potential but needs customer focussed staff

Thanks for being a vibrant local

Great atmosphere, quality food and a very wide menu choice for meat eater, vegetarians, vegans and those who prefer food gluten free.

Food is ok, but service is shockingly slow. Best place to park is the pay and display at the train station, a 5 minute walk away.

A gorgeous selection of delicious food. Burgers, tapas, noodles, anything. All of it is good, and all of it is worth the visit.
