Bond Street is an attempt to bring Chelmsford's shopping upmarket, and it succeeds to some degree. The arrival of John Lewis, Goldsmiths, Tag Heuer, Foyles, Ellis Brigham etc makes visiting Chelmsford a much more pleasant affair, and depending on the reason for your visit, the high street, and the Meadows and High Chelmer shopping centres can now be avoided entirely, if you wish. There are plenty of restaurants, and a great Everyman cinema as well.

My only criticism would be access to the (expensive, but proximity is fantastic) car park. Bond Street itself is accessed off the roundabout by Tesco, and traffic can sometimes back up for some way.

Look what they did in dreary old Chelmsford! I've had the mixed blessing of spending most of my life around Chelmsford, but still I am impressed. You could always live there and work there, but now you can eat, shop and go to the cinema in a variety of great places there too. Pedestrionised, so safe for kids. It's a safe town anyway. The new Bond Street centre is great. A bold and visionary two fingers to the world of Well worth a visit. Parking's easy but you can get there by train. It's no distance from the station. Eat, drink and see a film at the Everyman. It's becoming a guilty habit of ours. See you there.

Excellent place to shop. The area was cleared of snow and easily accessed whereas the High St was impassable even for and particularly mobilitiy scooters! Shame on the council for not clearing the pavements, as usual and who will be bleating about the loss of revenue in the town. It's scandalous to pedestrianise the high street and then leave it inaccessible and treacherous for pedestrians.

A piece of London in Chelmsford

I absolutely love the new Bond Street and the choice of shops included. It's built to a high standard and it looks like the outside shops of Westfield London. I only wish the rest of Chelmsford High Street looked as beautiful as Bond Street. Well done to Chelmsford council for thier recent improvements to the area.

Fantastic array of shops, restaurants and open spaces. John Lewis really setups up the street but the boutiques are all great to visit. Underground parking is really easy and not much more expensive than the rest of the town centre (red//green lights show you where vacant spaces are!) The restaurants are all big names and a great cinema as well.

Bond Street is a new arcade style shopping street that leads from the high street to John Lewis, and the new Everyman cinema. It has some really good shops, cafes and restaurants including the Tiptree Jam shop and Café. There is also a open area opposite John Lewis overlooking the river.

A wonderful selection of shops, easily accessible and rounded off by a huge John Lewis towering over the other shops. Paved shopping area really accessible for the disabled and from the nearby parking lot. Places to grab food and toilets.

Opened in September 2016 and already the must-go place in Chelmsford. Many top-label stores including John Lewis, numerous eateries and multi-screen cinema can be found here. Parking is available at the on-site underground carpark.

Good if you want local high-ish end specialist shops. Hotel Chocolat, Tiptree, Foyle's and Dr. Martens stores my faves. Parking adjacent underground, and central for all central Chelmsford.

Alright if you've got loads of money and under a size 12!
Not ok if your just a low earner, disabled on Pip, typical size clothes 14+, I don't know why everyone bigs it up!!

Chelmsford has taken its city status to the next level. Really enjoyed the walk up to the old part if town. Some real gems along side established high street names.

Lots of high class stores, and adds a further dimension to Chelmsford. Have fun, but keep an eye on the credit card spend...

Loved it here, lots of variety and so much better than the usual common place shopping centres like Lakeside and Bluewater.
