Came here years ago and it want great, have come back some years later as it looks although the whole place has been updated, if give it top marks if it was based on the look and decor alone as it's very nice, unfortunately we came for lunch today and it was very poor. I asked for a chicken and stuffing tortilla wrap, I got a cold, soggy Yorkshire pudding filled with luke warm chicken, my partner took it back said we asked for tortilla, so they remade it, the potatoes were very nice but the wraps were still luke warm, obviously chicken from the carvery, we was looking forward to a cavary tommrow, but won't be coming as we just can't be eating cold meat. Also the lad that works behind the bar surely would earn his keep serving waiting customers, rather than leaning on the counter on his phone!! Shame really, this could be a great pub ..

Came here for a meal from the New Beach holiday site hoping to get a delicious roast dinner that I didn't have to cook. Unfortunately was met with limited meat options and so chose pork which was overcooked and dry. Choking hazard. Roast potatoes were cooked fresh but cabbage carrots and peas were watery with little taste. Expected fresh veg not frozrn veg. The roast parsnips were chewy and like cardboard. The yorkshire was cold and rubbery like they had bern defrosted and served rather than cooked and served and were definitely supermarket standard. Nothing was freshly prepared and cooked. Did not stay for desert. Disgusting. My fiance had no qualifications and does not cook for a living but cooks a much tastier roast dinner!

Your food......Disgusting.

Spent a fortune on meals for 7 people.
The meals -

cheese quich salad - salad was dry. The jacket potato dry and stone cold. The quiche was like ice.

Fish and chips - cod was a thin bit of dish covered in thick batter. Where was the rest of the fish.

1/2lb cheese burger. Burger was cold. And tasteless.

Chicken tikka masala- rice was dry and under cooked - . Packet rice at that.

Prawn wrap. - the wrap was nice. But why roast potatoes.

3 cheese pasta - why on Earth was there a tomato in the middle of it.

The roast dinner was to die for.

Waited 24 minutes for the table to be cleared.
Over all experience will not be going back.

Lord knows why people give this place a good rating, it was all out of the freezer, bland boring unremarkable food. My son had a pizza so undercooked that it was almost still raw. He ate it politely and it wasn't until the end when my husband tried it we realised how awful it was. Scampi was on the specials board. It was frozen scampi, despite the fact that we were a few metres from the sea. Carvery meat looked great but the veg looked like school dinners, nasty overcooked and tasteless. Staff were noce enough but don't be fooled. Pay an extra few quid and go and get a decent meal nearby. Please. We would not have ventured in but had to have dinner with some.family who had booked. Never again.

I like to go here for a reasonable Sunday Dinner, although I think the standard has gone down throughout the years with the food served here.
I used to come here 20yrs ago and your plate was stacked high with lovely meats and veg's, these days you get a very poor few slithers of meats and lots of mushed up vegetables to fill your plate with.
The quality of custom has totally gone from the place these days but people keep hanging on, I believe in the hope that one day they'll get a good value for their money again, but I doubt anything will EVER change now, they only seem concerned about how much money they can make.

Staff was really nice and helpful. The place is pretty big, I felt that there was a lot of places to seat. However the food was not really impressive. Had a steak which was not a really good cut, asked for medium rare and it was more on the medium side really. The peas felt like they were old, the fries were fine. My son had chicken nuggets which were surprisingly excellent and did not feel frozen at all, I often find that kids food is frozen in pubs so that was a nice surprise. Didn't try the carvery. I'd still stop there for lunch with the kids and try something else in the menu.

The worst meal of my life. To begin with as we walked in the staff was rude and dismissive then once we finally found a table it was sticky and unclean. After waiting for the one man at the bar to serve the hordes of costumes we finally ordered our meal. We had ordered a carvery, once we got to the carvery station it was understocked with a poor choice of meat and vegetables. The chicken was over cooked, the gammon was terrible and the vegetables were still frozen. Worst. Costumer service I've ever experienced.

2nd July 2017, have been here before and was really lovely, so today we took some friends it wasn't busy either, it was disgusting, choice was beef gammon chicken or pie. Not pork. Beef was dry. Veg all frozen, tasted like hospital food. We will not be returning and feel totally embarrassed for our friends. I asked if it was still privately run and was told no park resorts own it. Well no more to be said 1 star is to much for this review

The place has a lot of potential and the staff are lovely. Its clean and Has a nice layout. However, all the food left A LOT to be desired. Better quality and cooked food can be found in greasy spoons and canteens! Staff were eager to please, and offered a free pudding or a two for one voucher for our next visit. Unfortunately, we’re not feeling eager to return. A real shame as in a prime location and the place itself is lovely.

Very very poor establishment with absolutely no respect. It clearly states on the website that all friends, families and Doggies are welcome, and Knowhere around or on the premises to suggest otherwise that dogs were not aloud. When we arrived there with our dog we entered the building we were imidiatley Rudely dismiss by the bar tender and when confronted about it very little care to be had about the faulse advertisement.

Without doubt the most horrific meal I've ever attempted to eat. Even my totally undiscerning husband was forced to wash his bone dry meat down with beer to avoid choking to death! Frankly I fear for our lives...there is every chance we will die of food poisoning! However, it was bad it was comical and we haven't laughed so much in ages! Score for this fine establishment \\u003d 0/4592 billion!

The building itself was worth 5 stars with all its wood and stone architecture but what let's it down is its carvery. There was a limited amount of food but the super size offer of £2 extra involved the same smallish plate. If it's a carvery your after then look for a Toby but for just drinks this place is ideal it also has a large outdoor seating area and a large free off road carpark.

The table reservation issue was really bad, Booked table and upon arrival they said we weren't on list so had to eat really quick before the reservation of someone else ticked over... Nice atmosphere. But would only recommend people try it once to see if they like it... Foods nice, best gravy I've ever had. Over all very UNHAPPY with how the staff handled the experience

What a lovely experience Alex the manager was first class so welcoming and a lovely lady from new beech recommended this place to us, and we were not disappointed. Live music, great food was handed out free of charge, staff are very friendly and the place is clean and tidy well worth a vist going again tomorrow for a very reasonably priced carvery. Keep up the good work guys x

Sunday carvery was good. The menu states they do vegetarian option but they dont! I was told to just eat more vegetables! Although they did have leeks in cheese sauce. They have a kids sized carvery but no kids puddings! I wouldnt pay £4.75 for a kids pudding! Would go again if driving past. The bar is very loud full of people singing at top of their voices!

Very nice carvery possibly the best I've had meat is well cooked and not chewy especially the beef (which I am not usually very keen on) staff were friendly and helpful. Seated within seconds of entering the building server at the bar within minutes and sat and eating within 5. All done in a total of half an hour.

Tuesday afternoon, 5:45 we walked in and the place was deserted , after eating or trying to eat the food.
We realised why . Food was dry and overcooked had been sitting under the lights for ages,
It's no wonder you have to pay upfront.
We would of walked out.

It serves a good range of food mainly based on carvery however on the one day we went they didn't have the particular meat that we were all hoping to get otherwise it was excellent value for money all round including good dessert etc certainly a crowd pleaser.

I've come here tonight with my sister, Staff were very nice.. Carvery was probably the best carvery I have had in ages..I don't really eat meat apart from chicken but I tried the beef and pork and it was LOVELY!! Not chewy.. but tasty! Highly Recommend!

Went for a random mid week carvery, I didn't have the pork as it looked fatty, the turkey was dry, so I opted for the chicken pie, I wish I hadn't of bothered, the gravy was extremely rich and the meat was dry, on the other hand the veg was lovely.

Great food, good ambiance and staff are very friendly with a good level of customer service and hospitality, booking was a problem as my table was not reserved even after the table had been booked. But apart from this mistake everything else was perfect.

I have eaten here at least 10 times over a couple of year and always have the Carvery. It can be a bit hit or miss with the quality it's either ok for the money for just down right disgusting. Previous reviews of cold soggy bland etc are very true.

I had carvery the potatoes were hard and dry veg was done to death,Yorkshires that hard they could of been used as a deadly weapon,I had chicken and ham pie meat was lovely but gravy in it was very thick and full of congealed lumps.very disappointed.

Enjoyed the meal, it was cheap and tasted good. Nice sized portions of meat from the carvery. Good selection of veg available. Great gravy! Kids meal was cheap and he enjoyed it. Staff were friendly and engaging. Would go back again. Came home full!

Good service and the Carvery was the best I've had in years, with a really good choice for all the meat eaters out there, the roast potatoes and parsnips are amazing!!
Friendly atmosphere, and been done up really well

Carvery was terrible ! Beef was very chewy and parsnips were hard. The old guy cutting the meat was struggling as the beef was so fatty and tuff !
Also the young girl behind the bar was rude and screwed up the order ! ☹️☹️
