I went here recently for a change it was dreadful. My mum ordered the Lasagne it cost £8.49 for a ridiculous sized piece which was put a bowl that had plenty of space left and leaves on top to try and cover it up, it came with garlic ciabatta which was burnt on the sides and not very appetising, the Lasagne also had tons of salt. I ordered the Smothered Chicken Burger it cost £10.49 the taste was ok but nothing special and the burger kept falling apart, you would get a much better burger from Burger King for much less. Also be aware when I asked for an Orange juice and was told the difference in price the guy said a Regular is £2.45 and Large is £2.85 I decided to have the large as there wasn't much in price difference but when I checked the receipt they charged me £3.15 the guy had said the wrong price when I asked him. I got my money back. I won't be coming back !!

Cheap and cheerful, and decent for what it is.

Our visit this time was memorable due to the corner table of braying spray-tanned folk who were vomiting periodically, having drunk more than their own body weight in alcopops and prosecco in the time they’d been there.

But nobody visits this chain and it’s many equivalents expecting a quiet, high class, relaxing time. It’s open when an evening film has ended, it’s great for a post-flick pint before heading home, and you do so knowing a number of the patrons will be worse for wear that time of night.

The staff are eager to please and helpful. Young Daniel is amazingly refreshing!! The food is average and served usually quite fast. However, the premises is getting very shabby. Peeling wallpaper, chipped paint, stained furniture and generally uncleared sticky tables. The toilets are very poor too. Up your game S & L or you will loose your customers.

Not that great for an Oracle Riverside bar. Service is okay, but the atmosphere is really quite poor. The tables are laid out restaurant style with a bar - it feels like they're not sire which they'd rather be. The paint and furnishings are chipped and worn. It feels more like an old pub than a trendy bar...

Friendly staff and good service. The cocktails are really good and always on a two for one offer. I wouldn't want to eat there later on at a weekend as its more for people having a night out that a meal with friends. The music is good but a bit too load to have a conversation without shouting inside

Not so great now they've removed 2-4-1 on mains on Monday and changed their cocktails to 2-4-1 of the same cocktail only, makes it less different from other bars like Revs. Food is standard quality and cocktails are pretty good with a huge range to choose from. Can get loud weekends and evenings

Went in for lunch, left after 15 minutes when nobody took my order. Not even an acknowledgement, and after I had visibly waved the waiter over to my table. The place wasn't even that busy. Awful, ended up next door where the same amount of people were eating and got my order taken at once.

Staff were friendly and order taken promptly. Good selection of drinks and we made the most of the half price Monday. The sharing platters are massive, my deli burger was let down by the quality of the meat, other than that all the food was of a high quality.

Definitely will return

We went here for a meal. Ordered the chicken Caesar salad in a tortilla bowl and all it was was chicken and lettuce with a small amount of dressing. For £8! I had the ravioli which was delicious but covered in far too much oil. Probably won't be back.

Went for lunch today, waited an hour for food (wraps & nachos) it wasn’t just us! Not sure what was going on in the kitchen today; everyone was waiting for a long time.... if not enough staff you should tell customers it’s going to be a long wait!

Most of the food we tried to order, they didn't have. Didn't have teaspoons for the young children to eat with, so they had to use tablespoons. Two stars for the venue, which is quite nice.

Not sure I would go for food unless it was discounted (half price Mondays) and drinks were more expensive then I thought. However there is a god selection on the menu and the ambiance is quite nice.

Been waiting 45 minutes for our food, without no one caring about it. The food wasn't that good and in really small portions. On the other and small plates (startes) are really nice.

Great selection of food. Good sized portions and well presented. The bar wasn't fully stocked at the time but the staff made sure to compensate with a wide range of other cocktails.

Frequented by young people is very nice and the food is good. Obviously it is not a restaurant but a great pub! I also recommend the sweet, heavy, but try the Triple Chocolate Tart.

Always packed in evening takes ages to get served. Meals are over priced but are cheaper options but select few dishes. No check back once you have meal not good with children.

Very disappointing. Tables had not been cleaned and menus were stuck together with food and drink. We should have left at that point because things didn't get much better.

Great night!! Atmosphere good, food really tasty! Service top notch, Natalie went above and beyond to make our evening great. Bar staff helpful suggesting some good cocktails.

Waited 30 minutes to get served. Yes it was busy. Only 3 staff behind the bar. Walked out fed up of waiting. Shame because it was lively and a good atmosphere

Food average . Good deal on kids eat for £1 on Sundays . Drinks expensive , over £6 for a white wine and soda , I thought was a lot.

Nice atmosphere, food will presented but lacks some flavour. I'll probably go again to give it a second try.

Mostly the staff are friendly, the French guy was a bit grumpy. Nice place to relax with a wine at the Riverside

Nice was good but why oh why on a Saturday afternoon one guy behind bar. Very poor and very annoying

2 by Lloyd Adam Review source

Useless staff. Don't have a clue how to serve and definitely don't know what customers arrive first.

Think the slug and lettuce is the best bar/restaurant in the Oracle. Love the food and drinks that they serve

Pretty normal pub really. It can get quite busy at times which might be off-putting for some.

3 by Paul Hopgood Review source

Average chain bar/restaurant. Don't expect fresh food - this is pre-made/frozen stuff.

Great place for longhorn IPA, especially on Monday ( due to the meal at half price)!

5 by Jack G Review source

Cold food, poor customer service, awful experience after our meal there I got sick.

Food OK otherwise noisy and a rocky table. No real ale and all beer too cold
