We use this pub often and its usually good in terms of food, beer and service. Our first visit on a Sunday though, what a difference!. Our drinks order was taken before we sat down. The drinks came, then nothing for 15 minutes until we got two ice cream sundaes. They were rejected and we asked to order. The waiter went off and never came back. My wife discovered that her 'Appletiser' (in a pint glass!) was flat and sharp. It was accepted back at the bar but not replaced. We stopped a waiter at the next table and demanded to order. The food was good as always, but it was over an hour from arriving at the pub. He offered sauces, I chose mustard, which never came. My wife went in search of her drink. Apparently if you order Appletiser you get something else. Most people don't notice, they said, She settled for water. After the food we went to the bar for the bill. We were charged for the rejected drink, which was corrected after some discussion. Really!

We have been regular customers here for some time, however after a visit with our grandchildren during half term we were very disappointed. It was advertised that children ate for £1.00 when two adults ordered from the main menu which is what we did. My husband & i had sirloin steak which looked lovely when it came but my steak was tough & grisley, i mentioned it to a member of staff who said they would tell the chef. My husband & grandchildren had ate their meal and still no one came to replace my meal. This resulted in me not paying for my meal but as i left the pub i thought the price still seemed high so i checked my receipt and found i had been charged full price for my grandchildren. I thought this was a rip off as it was not my fault my meal was inedible and i was not offered a replacement. I dont think we,ll be going back any time soon.

Food was ok but the service leaves a lot to be desired courses were rushed and the waiting staff were to busy chatting or glued to there phones than concentrating on those job needs better training of staff or at the very least a fully trained head waitor / waitress trying to attract someone's attention to ask for anything was automatically task in itself and even when we did manage it to order a bottle of pink fizz that eventually arrived after quite a while we had a tray with bottle and glasses deposited on the table waitor disappeared we poured ourselves only to find we had been given white instead of pink once again tried to attract attention to no avail so we drank when a member of staff eventually came over and asked how things were and we mentioned the wine he just looked bemused as I say food was fine but staff NEED TRAINING

We had to wait 30 minutes before any came to our table. We ordered our starters and mains together but we had to wait 1 hour for our starters. We didn't get drinks until 45 minutes after we arrived. One of the cocktails was made wrongly. And when mains came, they made several mistakes such as giving chips instead of sweet potato fries. One of the starters didn't arrive, and none of the staff had control. But there was one positive, as when we got the food it was hot, fresh and enjoyable. This pub need to think about when to put there less experience staff on. Won't be going on weekends again but instead go on weekdays and it has better service. I was quite disappointed, as I work for a 5 star bar and restaurant at the Proact Stadium.

This place needs some looking at with someone who is bothered. Doesn't seem to have got it right in my view. The staff all seem to be young and are not very well trained. The atmosphere is cold not very warm environment at all.

We both had a mediocre meal that was warm when we got it, but not for long. After we finished our meal my friend asked for the afters menu. It took that long for them to come back with a menu we went off the idea..

Staff seem to be unorganized with being directed by each other. It's like we got our meal and they couldn't wait to get back to their conversation they were having with one another.

Four of us 2 meals for £10 deal. 2 decided on this. They had beef/veggi burgers etc. Granddaughter chose Veggie burger a bit more upmarket . £8 plus. When it was served there was very little difference from the others, but cost a lot more. I had to choose from main menu because no-one to share deal with. I had pedigree ale Beef lasagne. which would have been £5 on meal deal. I asked for chips instead of salad. This cost me £8.95 for the same meal plus £2.50 for the chips- a total of £10.45!! The meal was tasty
but not worth that money , we came away feeling we had been ripped off!

Nice place, nice food, appalling staff. We have eaten here three times and each time the service has been slow, requests ignored or forgotten and generally couldn't care attitude. On one occasion I put my credit card on the table and asked for the bill thinking they would bring the card terminal over, after 20 minutes of nothing happening I went to the counter to ask what the delay was to be told 'the terminal won't work over there' so why not tell me instead of just ignoring me. It seems like a bunch of kids playing at running a pub.

I have just had the 2 for 1 steak and ribs. The steak was good but the ribs were more bone than meat. the accompanying peas were also a little under cooked for my taste. However the overall experience was very good as the staff were welcoming and friendly and the meal was ok. They do have carling on offer at a price of £3.09. The children's meal options are £3.75 for the mini meal and £ 4.25 for the larger meal. The dessert is an extra £1.35. My daughter found the meal ok but prefers the children's meal at the Boythorpe inn.

Came for a birthday meal on the 11th of November, 5 grandkids and 5 adults, we did have to wait around 40mins for food which I can understand as there was 10 of us only thing was my daughter ordered mushrooms with her steak which the waiter forget to bring out and when he went back to fetch them they weren't very well cooked and looked as they were out of a tin, otherwise we all enjoyed our meals, and the kids loved the play area. Thank you, we will be back, going to try your curry night

We have been coming here regularly for the past couple of years. After missing two weeks we came back tonight to have three members of staff talking at the bar after being seated ignore us. After seating four other people and taking their order first, cleared another table, then asking if we were ready to order. Well YES of course we were ready. Not rushing back next week, rather go further from home and get real service. Instead of watching staff talk in front of the bar. Not good :(

Rude staff, rude manageress wouldn't recommend to anyone. The food is very average for the price. No air conditioning in lounge so red hot in summer. I could go on all day listing dislikes about this place. Oh and it's next to a busy main road. They only seem to employ school & college kids , that don't give a damn & keep getting things wrong.presumably to keep wage costs low. Terrible experience with this place. Will not be going back.

What a fantastic place! The food, drinks and service are superb....on the bar is a certificate showing The White Hart as a Marstons Pub of the Year winner in 2015....you can certainly see why.
We had the Sunday carvery and it was excellent. The meat just melted in your mouth, the roast potatoes were to die for and the Yorkshire puds were amazing.
Can't wait to visit again....will definitely be trying one of their promotion nights.

The beef crumbled as he cut it,turkey also over cooked and dry i even got some stuck in my throat.. yorkie puds and roasties and cabbage were lush,so very disappointed especially with the price. Wont be returning

Pleasant pub with good choice on menu. Went with family and had mixed experience. Very young waiting staff, personable and attentive but communication a bit of an issue. Food was fine for me and my daughter but others in our party were a bit disappointed. Nothing dreadful but more about lack of flavour and also steak not as tender as previous visit.

Come here every Sunday. Can't fault the food & always brings a smile to my Nan's face seeing the friendly staff. Joanne & Ian are always accommodating & have often plated up a Sunday dinner to take out when my nan has been ill or can't make it out. 5 *****

Waited for ages for our order to be taken and the restaurant was empty and at least 4 waiting staff stood around talking about where ghey live. Served by children who do not seem to have any concept of service. This pub has definitely got to look at the service they are providing.

This is an amazing pub!! Really friendly staff and food was awesome. Very wide range to choose from and happily catered for allergies and dietary preferences. Food prices were really good and great value. Would highly recommend to anyone!

We like this pub. They serve really quite nice meals and we enjoy a ride out for a decent meal every now and then. The pub itself is nicely presented and it has a good sized car park so there is usually plenty of space for the car.

We go for a carvery most sundays, with my two children, it's so delicious, what's also nice, is the staff help the children with their plate while selecting the vegetables they want. Brilliant staff, brilliant food!

Good food, and good service. Called in for dinner, the fish kept my mum busy for half an hour. Festive burger was very tasty. This place has the most reasonable priced wine list I've seen for a while. Cheers guys!

Poor service. Very slow considering how quiet it was. Took the 3 staff 15 mins to make 4 drinks. Forgot to bring dessert menus when asked. General lack of interest from staff. Food quite nice though

Last night 10/08/17 my wife, daughter and granddaughters went for a meal. Their verdict. The food was lovely but table service was nonexistent. Must be demoralising for the kitchen staff

Very nice place for meals, with a very vast menu. Very cosy and home like. Would definitely recommend for a meal out. It is a stunning layout, with many rooms, and super friendly staff.

Good food at a good price. Extensive specials menu. Being in an electric wheelchair, there is disabled access at the back of the building, and I book a table on the top level

When I ordered a £15.50 mixed grill in the description . It stated half a chicken when I asked the waiter He pointed on my plate one small chicken not worth the money .
