Our vacation in London was made even better by our stay at the Sheraton Grande London Park Lane. My BF, a SPG member, booked this hotel due to its proximity to many local attractions. We took the Tube from King's Cross to Green Park, and it was less than a 5 minute walk from the station to the hotel. Very convenient!

We had an Art Deco suite, which comes with a separate living area. The room was very spacious and overlooked Green Park, with a view of the London skyline. There was a side table by the door with a Nespresso machine, electric kettle, and complimentary daily bottled water. We had a huge closet with bathrobes and slippers. The bathroom had a bidet, rainfall shower, and freestanding bathtub, along with Molton Brown amenities. We even had use of a complimentary 'Handy' Samsung phone with unlimited data and local calls, which was very handy (aptly named) indeed for our explorations around London.

Additionally, we had access to the Sheraton Club Lounge which offers complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea hors d'oeuvres, and complimentary drinks.

At the end of every busy and cold day, it was so nice to be able to come back to this hotel and relax. The room was always clean and restocked with amenities. Not to mention, they even had a lovely chocolate cake with strawberries prepared for my BF's birthday when we walked into our room on the first day. There was even a handwritten note from the manager and two glasses of champagne.

The Sheraton Grande London Park Lane is a stone's throw from Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace, and St. James's Park. It's a 20-minute walk to Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, the London Eye, and to the heart of Soho. Very convenient to everything we wanted to see and do in London. Impeccable service. Comfortable rooms. Staying here was Christmas come early.

Afternoon Tea:

I came here for an afternoon tea in the palm court and was quite surprised by the experience. I would not recommend it. I had a 4pm reservation which lead to me being seated at 4.30pm. We were approached by a staff member at 4.45pm and placed our orders immediately. We only received our food at 5pm, and teas at 5.10pm.

Cutlery was not laid out at the start as you would expect (meaning that I could not begin eating until about 5.10pm). Staff would say that they were sorting out the issues, like obtaining cutlery, and then disappear, prompting us to ask someone else for help.

Further issues: the tea I ordered was out of stock (Nilgiri Twirl). Despite being assured that a halal menu was available on the phone- this is not the case. The halal menu is in fact the vegetarian menu, not a true halal menu. People who arrived after us were served before us. Our coats were taken from us with the wrong ticket issued to us. In order to get out quickly, I offered to prove that my coat belonged to me by demonstrating what was in my coat pockets. The service charge at 12.5% was mandatory even though the service was appalling.

This is one of the worst afternoon teas I've been to and is not worth £42 per person. I would recommend the Ritz at £55 (last time I went), which is worth the slightly higher price and has a halal menu. The Chesterfield around the corner is also fantastic (£35 per person), and one of my favourites for their tea selection.

This was a horrible experience and was meant to be an anniversary experience. I would not recommend this to anyone.

We really disappointed after visited.
Not sure caused of xmas or not?

1)we had been inform only allow to sit for 90mins which no one informed to me after made reservation.
2)And when we arrive, no one at the reception and we have to wait for a while to be served to sit.
3)when we finished sandwich, no one come to ask do we need refill or not. Same as scone, also no one ask us need refill or not.
We have to raise hand ask for the sandwich when we eating the top level(cake)

No matter is caused by xmas run out of staff or not, we did feel we are not enjoying a englih style afternoon tea. We feel like we are eating Mcdonald's since evrrything we have to ask for ourselves, including teapot run out of tea.(of course the price is not Mcdonald's +﹏+)

How come this kind of service can have “ afternoon tea 2017 highly recommend award”???

This really ruin my xmas day mood.

Booked 2 rooms to attend a wedding was told check in was 3pm at 5.30pm our rooms were still not ready as we had a wedding and we were missing the reception waiting for our rooms we complained only for the receptionist to lose her temper and become rude to me
Later (11.30) my daughter and partner went to bed only for the lift to breakdown and them being stuck for 30mins
We complained the next day having been told one room was free and the other £50 discount for late check in
I was charged for one room as told and thought that was it until the host of the wedding called me to tell me they had charged him for the other room
I called the hotel to them this (3 times) and over an hour later they denied offering me a free room and just changed the charge to my card
Terrible service and liars

was in London for a one-day layover and stayed at this hotel.

Hotel wise - old but clean. The room is comfortable, the bathroom looks great. Has the quaint English retro feel to the whole thing. The only downside was the heating wasn't working that night and it was a cold cold night. Under the covers though I couldn't really tell.

This is really not a modern hotel, but the staff was amazingly helpful and helped me with luggages, my coat, my valuables as I had arrived very early before check-in time, and held my things leaving me to roam London before my room was ready.

Location wise, it is excellent. A stone through from Buckingham Palace, and the Green Park tube station. It is also within walking distance to Bond Street. Really central location.

Excellent hotel right next to Green Park in Mayfair. It is within walking distance of many of London's landmarks, such as the Queen's Palace, a 5-minute walk away.
We were accommodated in an executive room, much larger than the usual room in London. The room was very good, with extremely comfortable beds and views of Green Park.
We had access to the executive lounge, which offers a very good breakfast, and in the evening there are small sandwiches and free cocktails. I would like to point out that there were always plenty of seats in the executive lounge. In the evening, the food was slightly disappointing.
The hotel was recently renovated and the common areas look very good.
In short, an excellent choice in the heart of London.

We had afternoon tea in Palm Court in the hotel which was a beautiful setting. We had to delay our booking for a couple of hours and they were accommodating about this. The selection of tea was impressive and we all enjoyed our choices. We were also having 'bottomless bubbles' with our tea and the staff were a little slow on the refill and took away one of the glasses before our 1.5 hours was up but other than that the service was good. The food was nice but the patisserie was not as impressive to look at as some other places offering afternoon tea.

Very nice hotel is a great lacationight. Rather expensive but not too bad in comparison to some other hotels in the area. One negative is staff advising customers to use cars for airport journeys rather than liicended London taxis, even telling customers that taxis are far more expensive than they are. I was told not to use a taxi as they cost £120. I actually got a taxi myself and the cost was £58 which was far cheaper than the £90 they quoted me to use one of their cars.

What a great hotel..perfect location for sightseeing with Buckingham palace being 5 mins walk. We were there to take my mum for afternoon tea at Ritz for her birthday which was also a 5 min walk. Beds were very comfortable and clean the staff were friendly and amazing people making our stay so enjoyable even bringing my mum a cake and prosecco to our room to celebrate mums birthday. Bar staff and breakfast staff brilliant. We will definitely stay again. Thankyou.

Attending wedding at hotel, booked room but none ready of right spec, given awful small room. Too hot, air conditioning faulty. Agreed to give us correct type of room but had to wait and could not use first room to get ready for wedding. Ended up getting smartened up in unisex toilet we were directed to even though better facilities were available. Eventual room was fine. Breakfast was very good. Wedding was in magnificent ballroom but very very cold.

we had mothers day afternoon tea here and the place was lovely. beautiful decor and peaceful ambiance. we did have to wait almost 15mins to be seated but we put that down to the fact it was mothers day and they were busy. this was also probably why service wasn't that grea, they forgot some of our sandwiches and we didn't have prompt refills of our tea. otherwise food was lovely and staff were welcoming and friendly. recommend.

I loved my stay here. The hotel was located just across the park from Buckingham Palace and it was easy to access anywhere I need by just walking. The rooms were extremely nice and updated. They felt modern and cozy and looked recently remodeled. Everyone at the hotel was very nice and helpful and really made my stay enjoyable. I have litterally nothing I could possibly complain about. Was a great stay!

Attended here for my works Christmas party. We were in an area downstairs, with its own private bar. The room was nice, but being down 4 flights of stairs, the staff were incredibly rude when I took off my high heeled shoes to walk down rather than potentially fall trying to go down in them. Food was ok, but nothing to write home about. Isn't somewhere I'd rush to go back to...

An overall good hotel. Pros are large rooms and bathrooms, comfortable beds, good location. Cons are the lifts - slow at opening, only two of them for 8 floors, one having its control unit detoriating. Cleanliness is not at its best, ans there is a strange policy at exchanging towels and sheets. Rooms facing Piccadilly street are a little bit noisy, while the rest are very quiet.

Amazing luxury hotel. BEST PERK, the hotel provides you a Android 4 G phone to use whilst in London, calls are free and so is internet. Rooms are not small or stuffy. The hotel staff is very friendl and accommodating. The club is amazing. The Club room is great, staff is amazing LOOK FOR GREG in the club.Room Tip- Floors on 8th floor offer a view of Big Ben and London eye.

Probably the worst experience for an afternoon tea possible. Serving staff avoided eye contact so they wouldn't have to do the job they are paid for. Then emailed a complaint, received an email to say I would get a response, 3 weeks later I'm still waiting. Don't spend your money here, take the short walk to the Ritz, they are far more competent and superior.

The hotel is difficult to navigate. The elevators are slow, the lobby is crowded, and the room layouts are awkward. The biggest difficulty is the elevators, which are slow and often broken. It can easily take 5-10 minutes to get to the lobby or your room. The TV restarted often. From the bathroom you hear water running all night from neighboring rooms.

The hotel is very well located and the lobby/common areas were very pleasant. The room was quite dated, the bathroom could benefit from a heating mechanism, the in room heater was not working, and when the temp outside is 6 degrees, adding a small heater is not sufficient. In general the stay was well below my expectations for a 5 star SPG property.

This hotel is very nice. It is much fancier than I had initially anticipated. While the rooms are kind of small it is very modern and comfortable. The employees are very kind and service is fast. The lounge food is pretty decent as well which I wish we had utilized more. The stair case is hidden from plain sight which was confusing but cool too.

The ambence is so relaxed and the staff are so atentive!! 100% reccomend!!

I have worked for a while as a waiter for different events that they host. I can tell you that the managers are very professional and they are doing their best to achieve high standards. This classy hotel hosts a variety of events. Located in central location in front of Green Park, it exibits a relaxed, comfy and welcoming feeling.

We visit this hotel frequently with business trips. The staff is very attentive and the corporate sales team is especially good. The rooms are on a smaller side if you have a classic room, but the superior rooms are excellent. The pool and the gym are excellent, however. Definitely one of the best options on Park Lane.

Amazing Art Deco hotel. Lovely interiors. Quite well maintained. Really nice staff. Very welcoming. They even have a small hotel car park which is amazing given the location. It's even reasonably priced for the area.
Went to the hotel for a private function so don't know what the rooms are like.

Art deco hotel, greeted by concierge at the back of the hotel which was odd as the door faced the busy Piccadilly main road. Good location for the bus and tube station. Rooms are a decent size, comfy beds and luxurious bedding. Bathroom is big with walk in shower beside the bath wet room.

Prime location. In close proximity to London Underground, across from Buckingham Palace, a short walk to Piccadilly Circus.

Excellent customer service. Staff is attentive and readily available for assistance.

Room looks upscale and cleanliness is impeccable.

Beautiful hotel with impeccable service and very centrally located to the metro and major train stations .
The beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable! Having a little personal phone to use during our stay with maps and all the great spots to visit was icing on the cake!

Lovely place, amazing customer service, beautiful clean rooms! Large well equipped gym, too hot temperatures in it though! Great bar setting with lot of tables on the main floor! The Club Lounge is great, large and alcohol access (beer/wine). Good breakfast in the Lounge as well!

Went for afternoon tea with free flowing chapeldown wine. Very tasty and complimentary additional plates of sandwiches and cakes if you wish. Only thing is to be aware that the free flowing bubbles is only 90 minutes which wasn't clear before we started. Otherwise very nice

Stayed here while visiting London for a few days. The location is very accessible to main points of interest (Buckingham Palace, Oxford/Piccadilly areas). We also thought the rooms were very nice (spacious in size, shower was great, and bed was extremely comfortable).
