At £54 including breakfast for two people sharing a room, this is a low cost hotel, and I'm assessing it in comparison with quite a number of bed and breakfast places I have stayed at in the Midlands. On the plus side, I would say this is a good value hotel with a bit of character, it's clean, the breakfast was well-cooked and there's off-street parking. The double room we were given was fairly small, and there was no wardrobe or clothes drawers, just some hanging space, but this was fine for one night. The room was at the front, and the main road is very busy, but noise is fairly well reduced by the triple glazing.
The shower was hot enough, but very low force. Breakfast was quite enjoyable. Overall I would have given it 4 stars and would have considered returning, if weren't for the manager, whose manner seemed designed to make us feel unwelcome, which is a shame.

I nearly didn't book here as I was concerned it was too cheap. I expected to turn up to a run down, shabby hostel type affair but instead found a wonderful 'living museum' with a fascinating history.

My room was basic but very clean and most importantly a supremely comfortable bed. Onsite parking is free and it's only a five minute bus ride into Wolverhampton at a cost of £1.50!

Breakfast was freshly cooked and plentiful and only £7.

Advice to management : Increase your prices and get better sausages.

A very warm welcome, the room was exactly as we needed, (loads of clean towels, shower wash, and hairdryer). The breakfast wash freshly cooked, also cereals, fruit & yogurt. The tea was unlimited, along with orange juice, exceptional for the price. They are happy to explain all the good eats around locally for evening meals etc. Thank you for being so very helpful, hopefully if we're your way in the future we'll see you again.

Just had the good fortune to spend another night at this Little Jewel of the crown in the Black Country. 5th time iv had the pleasure of Keiths hospitality. Warmly welcomed, cosy warm single room, pristin white comfy bed. Exactly what i needed after a hard day at work, beautifully quiet and relaxing. Excellent full breakfast cooked just the way i requested. Absolute Heaven. Stokie Julie xx

Lovely hotel, nice looks and aesthetics. The single room was quite small but had everything. For some reasons it was very hot and the bed mattress felt like wasn't right.
The bathroom was good with bath and shower, nice and clean. Only issue is the only liquid soap given is milk based which not everybody is happy to use.
Good help from staff friendly and efficient.

Nice enough room, big bathroom with bath and shower, full dinning area but only for breakfast strangely enough, entrance/lobby is very nice with classic look. Room felt a bit dated. Could do with a makeover, but the bed was great, memory foam mattress, lots of extra pillows etc already in room, decent space for clothes, I would stay here again however.

I did not stay here but found the rooms for a couple of friends of mine & dropped them off.
The hotel is a gorgeous little place with beautiful knick knacks and items collected. It gives the feel of being sumptuous and decadent. If this is not something you personally want, rest assured the rooms themselves are simple and plain.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Atmosphere 'so British' welcoming we want to stay! A decor that projects us out of time! The staff can not do enough for the requests and service of the breakfast. Only downside, it was cold in the room despite the heating. But that does not change my appreciation! We will come back

We stayed here several times and will continue to stay there whenever we're in the area for music concerts. It's a wonderful quirky place with plenty to see. Keith is a great host and the service is first class.

Good quiet hotel, decent room size, staff helpful, adequate parking space. Only issue is that traffic noise from outside seeps into the room and the hotel could do with some work on that. Otherwise comfortable.

Loved it here.. quirky and tasteful a pleasant little adventures.. nice cooked breakfast.. only downfall is 2 large people sharing a memory foam bed, it hurt and was very uncomfortable we barely slept a wink.

Lovely place hidden off a busy road. Rooms clean, bathroom was excellent; antiques and brick-a-brack everywhere. Gorgeous sitting room downstairs, I wish it had a licence so we could have a drink there!

Excellent value for money. Small hotel on the outskirts of Wolverhampton, friendly staff, comfortable clean rooms, breakfast much better than the buffets you get in larger chain hotels.

Lovely hotel with fabulous service. Much better than the big branded names, the staff can't do enough to help you. Food was lovely and the room and enjoy suite were beautiful too.

Nice hotel, nice distinctive decor of the public areas. Very friendly and personal staff. The room is very basic and small. We had to 'rural' so something larger expected.

The rooms were nice and clean, there is tea coffee and hot chocolate ready to go. The bathrooms were nicely done and spotlessly clean to. Absolutely nothing to complain about
