We used to visit fairly regularly but never again after today. We went for a Sunday breakfast.. It appears lots has changed recently in the chain. Different menu which looks like its come straight out of a Little Chef, very 'kiddified'. The ambient American music has gone, it's lost its feel.

We ordered our breakfasts and had to chase them up after 25 mins, they finally arrived after 35 mins of being seated. One breakfast was wrong, (pancakes instead of waffles) the bacon on it looked really pale and was very fatty.

The other breakfast had items missing, appeared to have been sat for a long time, the toast wasn't even toasted!!! The missing items came over and were still frozen!! I wasn't prepared to wait another half hour for the correct breakfast so we walked out, went to the nearby Wetherspoons and had a cracking breakfast for what would have been half the cost!

It's a shame that this place has gone so downhill, it used to be great. The staff dont seem to care about the food anymore. Has the company made some big changes recently? If so, bad move.

Ribs were fantastic, although not a lot for just over and it is custom for any plate of ribs to be served with hot water and a slice of lemon in it, to cut away the greasy fingers £16, bacon cheese fries was nothing at all like the display picture, as it should be for this being an American style restaurant, stingy on the cheese sauce and the bacon was meant to be in little bits, not random pieces, but they could have run out? but for such a small portion for over £3.

Other half ordered the chicken with bacon, and enjoyed it but again for the money, was not a lot of food. the plates are huge but the food spread thinly out on it.

Food was tasty, not a lot for your money, music was far too loud even though I enjoyed most of it, waited for 15 min and the beeper type thing malfunctioned, and had to wait another 10 min? They were more busy than expected and understand a muck up here and there but when several others were served food before us, that's when it became pathetic. Nice food, overpriced, friendly staff but they need to shape up a lot more before I'll be visiting there unfortunately.

My son really wanted to celebrate his 9th birthday here with family and friends!! I booked a table for 10 of us on the phone so all was fine, so I thought !!! However when we arrived, we were told to make our way to the table, they had seated us at two separate round high booth tables, very antisocial for a family to celebrate a birthday, which they had been told on the phone when booking. The manager made no apologies for this, just said this is what they do for larger tables and that I would of been told. I explained I hadn't otherwise I wouldn't have booked the table !!! The service was slow, the drinks order was incorrect and took forever to arrive, had to ask twice for the children's menu and then got ourselves. The food was ok but the portion size for the children's pizza has been cut by half, which was Terrible as i had asked the waitress if it was still the large pizza she said yes! so the kids shared 2 slices each not a whole large pizza as it used to be. Very disappointed for my son and they were not even a sorry !!!!

Very disappointed compared to 2years ago when the food and service were second to none... outside windows were filthy blinds were covered in dust.. my wife ordered pizza the base was not cooked properly by the time the replacement arrived 3of us had finished our meals my daughter ordered a chocolate Sunday which was served in a bowl???? My son in law ordered the can't decide pudding witch should be a selection of 4 puddings when it arrived at the table it was all the same pudding When we complained we were told sorry but new staff were training.. perhaps they could train not on paying customers but themselves...
Frankie and benny's was once a good place to eat not anymore will not be eating there again

I have had lunch with my wife at the Swindon venue. I ordered the chicken wings. I would describe it as a chicken nugget with a hot spicy sauce. I did not enjoy it. My wife had the mushroom soup. I asked for her thoughts, she replied it was 'hot'. For mains I ordered the salmon and haddock fish cake. I don't really know how to describe it. The outside was greasy covered with some tomato sauce. Inside no flavour and very mushy. The chips and peas were just warm. My wife had the Penne; same story here of no flavour. Total bill £25.90 frozen food lunch for 2. In short frozen food with no flavour; a tasteless experience

The food was dry from where it had been under a heat lamp for too long and it was over priced. I expected a lot more when paying over £10 for a burger and fries. The kids junior meals were bigger than the main meals for adults. A large (just under a pint) of Coke-a-cola was £3.05 and a fruit shoot (small) was £1.90.

The music was too loud to have a conversation with out the table next to you hearing every word you say. But because the music was so loud everyone has to talk louder to each other.

Gone seriously down hill in the last year, unless Gordon Ramsey does a series there I would not go back.

Booked a table for 12 people had to wait at bar 40 minutes after our booked time... get our orders taken then an hour later have not seen another member of staff at our table other people who were seated after us are all Ready eating.no drinks replenished nothing .then the food turns up after one of the group has complained and some food is wrong. Brill. After that just lots of niggelly problems like the meatball calzones having more pepperoni than probably a pepperoni calzone and chips being cold ......staff a bit rude . Still sat waiting for the bill so let's see what happens next

Very disappointed, took my grandson for a meal, had a combo starter for £14.95. the chicken drumsticks were burned beyond recognition and stuffed potato skins were cold. For main course we both had chicken breast with bacon and cheese, both chicken were rock hard and impossible to cut and therefore inedible, bacon was burned, corn on cob cold. we both left more than we ate. When I told the waitress she just said she'd tell the chef, no apology at all. meal total with three cokes was £50.01 what a total waste of money, I definitely wont be going there again.

Poor service, main course arrive an hour after sitting down, when the meal arrived it wasnt even worth waiting for. When it came to paying, the card machines were down and our cards were declined. One of the waiters even asked us if we actually had any money in our accounts!. They asked us for contact details for payment which we left, even though it's their issue so they should foot the bill. When contacted i will not be paying with card details over the phone thats for sure.

Table of 7 for a birthday party. First order was cold so it was sent back. Second order wasn't much better but it was the right order . The doh on the pizza looked like it was old stock. What has happened frankie and bennys?... You need to up your game. It's not cheap , you would expect a better quality of food. It looked like you had shopped at Iceland. Based on the food sent out to our table I could not recommend anyone wanting to spend money on poor quality food here.

Been here many times, the food in the beginning was really tasty and well cooked, recently the food has been quite bad. Ordered a sticky toffee pudding, the pudding was massive the ice cream was already melted. The main meals were not nice either. The only positive thing I can say is that the waitress who served us, was polite, friendly, the dishes did come out quickly, but I'd rather wait a long time and the food be nice, not wait a short amount of time and the food is bad.

Not the best dinner, service good, manager Bridget was outstanding and did over and above to make the experience better. What turned out to be a 15tj birthday meal was awful, 2meals sat in heat plate to be served for 5mins. Chicken and prawn Alfredo had 2prawns the rest must of stayed in the sea.
Bridget though was outstNding a manager that deserves credit. So thank you bridget for pulling a disaster into a good experience, I just hope they can turn the food around now

This Italian/American #frankieandbennys restaurant will never disappoint me with its menu choices . The food taste is average however the menu also have options for vegans and vegetarians. Ambience is good too with friendly staff serving you .

Good place to organise meals for birthdays, team meal etc. They have a drink bar inside the restaurant which I like .

I also like their breakfast menu ! I have uploaded few pics of the breakfast menu too

Food was really good for the most part. One or two slight problems, such as kids not being given colouring packs, even after asking. I also found a small bit of plastic in my shake, but since I'd already finished it basically, I didn't see any good would come of pursuing it further. I highlighted it to the staff and they apologised and assured me that it wouldn't happen again.

Overall though, a good meal out with the family.

After walking out of Chiquitos next door from the lack of customer service and waiting for ages to be served. We popped next door to Frankie & Benny's. Totally different experience. Very attentive staff, very friendly and polite. Took order fairly quickly (seeing as they were a lot busier than next door). Food was good and prices not bad!! I NEVER tip, but on this occasion they really deserved it!! Well done guys....see you again soon.

So we order starters mine comes out cold, they forget one and get another one wrong, there's not much taste to it either, the mains come the steaks is still running from the plate, that is not medium rare, salmon and potatoes was really dry, then the calzone was cold in the middle and flooded with sauce, the pizza was cold the cheese was barely melted, it used to be lovely there! 87 quid for 4 bad starters and not much better mains!

Went there for a team night out last Friday.

Food was 'OK', however I think they have an issue with their lighting. As every 5 minutes the lights dimmed, and some loud music banged around the place soon followed by an out roar of drunken 'Happy Birthday' chants.

Happy birthday to all of them - however its a complete distraction, and happening every 5 minutes does become annoying very quickly.

Unfortunately F&B seems to have changed menus and produce supplier with it, and not for the better! No more bottomless lattes, pancakes and bacon are now served with undercooked, fatty back bacon and not crispy streaky bacon and there’s only two rashers between three pancakes! But has the price dropped considering I’m getting less food?Nope. We won’t ever be eating breakfast here again which is a shame. Poor move F&B.

Two steaks asked for one rare and one blue, both came out freezing cold. Blue sent back and came back STILL COLD! when they finally amended it the piece of meat was tough and horrible. The waitress was very nice. One of the managers, a tiny guy with a beard and tight fitting trousers was laughing at us and not amending anything, laughable. Poor food, absolutely ridiculous manager and average service. Would not recommend.

Had breakfast this morning and was greeted by a lad called George, very pleasant and helpful, but one thing that stood out today more than other visits was that when George went for his break, he quickly came to each of his tables and explained that he was now going on a break and if we needed any assistance to contact the lad that was taking over from him. Very professional, Thank you George

Food was very poor. Asked for orange juice, was informed they had none! I ordered American hotdog, out of stock! I ordered starter and main was asked if I wanted both to be served at the same time. When the food arrived starter was ok but the spaghetti was terrible.

The card machine had no paper so because I paid with my card already I would not receive a receipt.

Sat in the non smoking area and 2 other customers decided to spark up and the staff carried on as if nothing was happening even cleaning the table right next to them, they were far enough from us to not affect us bit the cigarette butts are not nice around your feet when eating or accidentally drop something

Food was good and friendly staff

There were lots of staff and lots of seats yet it took ages to be seated. After waiting even longer for a waitress to take our order the food was mediocre at best. The calzone was undercooked and doughy and the ribs came with a dry, overcooked corn on the cob with no butter. For the amount of money, you would expect better food and a better service.

Lol. £5.25 for the tiniest bloody mary I've ever seen in my whole life. What a freaking rip off. Literally feel like I paid for just tomato juice. Went here for breakfast, food was okay but at £6 pp...I expected at least a side with my eggs benedict. Never coming here again. Thanks for making me feel like I lit £25 on fire.

Appalling. Went for Sunday breakfast. Ran out of sausages and banana by 11am
with no option offered to exchange. Took 2 hours for 4 adults and a child to be served and food to arrive. Food sat for ages on the pass which spoilt all the eggs in our meals. Staff stood round chatting for ages. None of us will be going back.

I eat at Frankies regularly so I was very disappointed with my visit. The Service was average and food was dreadful. My meal was cold so I sent it back and when my new meal came it had the main ingredient missing. I then ordered dessert which also had things missing from it which were listed on the menu. Would not recommend.

Had a cheesy burger thing with mozzarella sticks and it was really really good. The burger itself was slightly above average, but the mozzarella sticks in the burger were actually some of the best I've ever had, like legit. Staff very helpful and fairly good price. Would definitely go again

Very slow service (40 minutes wait for a drink!). Another long wait while other customers got their orders before us and my then my cooked breakfast was cold. Couldn't be bothered to send it back and wait ages again. Didn't get asked if everything was OK, so won't be rushing back.

Food is good and the portions are quite large . Prices have risen over the last few years but the breakfasts are still great value. Staff are very friendly and helpful. It's usually very busy in the evenings usually just before or after the movies next door but lunchtime is rather quiet.

Food was ok but nothing to write home about. Our waitress was extremely good but the birthday “interludes”....too many of them (6 in a space of 45mns, on a Tuesday!) and so freaking loud, unbearable. Cancelled our main course and left because of it. Will not go back nor recommend to anyone!
