Benefits.
His own stunning character. Ancient noble house (manor), of kosvoldskogo brown stone, carefully stored and maintained in its 'natural state' In this house curves roughly shaped beams in the ceiling and walls, old creaking doors and ancient species shabby frame windows with forged manual latches, clearly perceived part of the concept. As well as the service shortcomings inherent in the province. Excellent cozy restaurant with a selection of local ales. The first time was living in a hotel and got a lot of fun, in spite of the service standards that differ from international networks. By the way, the staff is amazingly friendly and really try to help and to please. WiFi free and good signal.

Some disadvantages.
Could not find an adapter for European plugs. Charges on the mobile leptopa, leptop at work, etc. (I must have your adapter generally, but there is always a hotel, so did not reflect) Bed was a little uncomfortable, too soft for my taste. Bath cramped (not a room, namely bath), tap in the sink, on the English tradition, no - Two faucet with hot and cold water in different corners of the sink. Refrigerators and minibars in both rooms were not (standard double), as well as the desktop. Breakfast with 7, not 6, the seventh half of the general staff or showers not locked and all (!). We wanted to go to 6, so half of the seventh could not pay and get a receipt until the first man did not come. I do not understand why I was so much pleased with the hotel, but the fact :) - I recommend no matter what))

Very disappointed and disgusted we had rung up to book a table for Valentine's day when my partner booked it the staff member over the phone didn't seem bothered didn't tell us there was a valentines day set menu so was a surprise when we got there ordered drinks the waitress serving didn't have a clue on what she was doing or what the drinks they had were when we were sat at the table it was nicely set out with candles when we saw the set menu for a very extortionate price each we didn't want anything on this menu we asked the waitress if we could order anything off the main menu she said that was fine and then proceeded to move us from our table we had booked and told us to sit in the main pub and just order at the bar .I thought this was disgusting as we had booked a table for our first Valentine's day meal to then be told this is for Valentine's day only we proceeded to leave and go elsewhere the staff there should have pointed this out on the phone call and should learn customer service .I would not recommend this pub to anyone totally disgusted with it

It's always nice to pop along to the Red Lion. The family atmosphere is relaxed and the staff are a credit to the location. The menu had stayed the same for a while but that isn't a bad thing. What it does it does well and there is something there for all ages. The food is generally served prompt and hot. In the many times we've been there there has only been one hiccup and that was dealt with courteously and professionally. Disabled access has been improved with the recent refurb which is another bonus. Well done.

We had a family Sunday lunch at the Red Lion. The location was easy to find being just off the A4260 and parking was easy with spaces available. Service was fast and friendly, all of our orders were correct and the food was hot and all arrived together. I was a little disappointed in the meat, a bit tough, however overall it was very tasty. Most of the puddings were very generous helpings, just not the bakewell tart. Overall, very little to complain about, we would go there again.

Excellent food as always at the Red Lion, however, this was let down by the service which was poor. Unable to sit in the restaurant as no-one was available to serve in there, plus nearly a 20 minute wait to be told one of our puddings wasn't available, and then a further 15 minutes for them to arrive. Unfortunately this isn't the first time that this has happened, and is usually down to lack of staff.

Exceptional service from very welcoming staff. First visit and was welcomed in. Drinks brought over to the table and food order taken. Food was served swiftly fresh and well presented. A good selection on the menu and wasn't disappointed by the exceptional quality of the meal.

Very well price too just to top it off

Definitely going to make another visit soon!

Nice accommodation, we were in family room above the bar so a bit noisy until last orders had been called. Room was lovely, food was lovely, bed wasn't. Too hard for my taste, I felt a little beaten up after a night on it and wouldn't want to sleep there again unless the mattress was swooped for something softer. If you like hard beds you will love it.

A nice little pub. Room was surprisingly spacious as they are in a cottage. Look to recently renovated in that everything in rooms looked fresh and quite modern. Very clean and room had iron and ironing board already in a little touch I appreciate. Staff very friendly and food at pub was also pretty good, better than your average pub.

Great old fashioned pub aet on the green of the village. There's a main road passing in front of the building, so don't expect quiet and peaceful if you sit outside, but it's still nice.

Food is generic chain pub style, not great, not bad, affordable priced.

I've been here a few times and the service can be a touch slow but generally very good. The food is also some of the best for the price for a good distance around.

It's nice to site outside the front when it's warm.

Went as a party of 17, food served quickly and service was good. My food very good whereas some of the party guest felt their's was bland. Had our own room which meant children could be children and did not disturb the rest of the pub.

As hotel guests this place was amazing. The customer service & hospitality was second to none. Sarah and Jemma made us feel at home and couldnt do enough for us. The building has some great character and the room was lovely.

The food was excellent value for money, especially compared to some other pubs in the area. The restaurant was very busy but our waitress was still very attentive and friendly. We would definitely eat here again.

An excellent small pub/hotel. Rooms are well appointed with good en-suite facilities. Breakfast had extensive choice of both hot and cold - nobody should leave hungry. For the price it was great value.

Food was good, and service started well, but as the restaurant, got busier the wait between courses grew. Nice atmosphere in what appeared to he a genuinely old coach house inn.

Briliant stay. People so friendly and welcoming and I got to experience 40+ tractors covered in xmas lights drive past for all the children to enjoy. I will be back.

Service was terrible, had a bone on my chicken burger, raised it to the waitress and received no apology or acknowledgement.

Very nice hotel above the pub. Great breakfast, a bit cold in the room. Cotage type, you can bang your head!

An ok place to eat. Standard service for a pub chain, nothing that would make me go out the way to visit.
