Just come back from a one night stay we stayed in room 4 which was a smaller room but very comfortable. The room had everything you needed plenty of sockets to charge your devices. There was a tv and tea and coffee making with the added touch of biscuits and water and unlike some places plenty of coffee etc. The bathroom had a decent shower with shampoo etc supplied even a flannel which I thought was a nice touch. We had the 3 course Sunday lunch and it was one of the best meals I have ever had and definitely worth the money. The bar and restaurant had a nice cosy feel to it. Breakfast next day was very nice with plenty of choice and good quality ingredients used. The place is very dog friendly allowing them in the bar. The car park is quite small and I could see it getting very busy in the summer.

Don't stay in room 2, cannot speak for the remainder of the inn but room 2 is 'the pits'. We asked to be moved, but another room was not available. Very small room; need to be a contortionist to get up the spiraly, narrow stairs; concussions possible on low door openings; the one 'comfortable chair' was missing the main cushion; bath room sink - hot water and cold water were reversed - be careful; we judged the mattress to be the 'worst one ever'. By contrast, the wait staff at the restaurant as well as the food was wonderful. One more thing, if you are American, the road to/from 'Great' Rissington was awful for about the last 3 to 4 miles. Finally, the wait staff could train up the admission clerk in politeness.

We had a pleasant one night stay. Managed to park on the car park which isn't that big, a few vehicles had to park on the road outside the pub. Showed up to our room No.4, the stairs need carefully climbing and can be abit tricky not much head room too. Our room was big enough but perhaps a little dated. Nice bathroom with a large shower. Everything was nice and clean. Table booked for six o'clock and the 3 course Sunday lunch ordered. The food was truly delicious and nice generous portions. Breakfast next morning was adequate. My advice, if your planning to stay here and if you have mobility issues make sure you have a ground floor room.

Went here for a drinks followed by an evening meal. It was a Saturday and we hadn't booked. Although it was busy the staff managed to find us a table. The food was very nice, I had the haddock and chips, my wife a meat pie. Usual pub fare but of a good quality. There were other items that were beyond standard pub food and they looked nice, we just fancied the fish and pie. Would definitely recommend and return.

Lovely country pub, although you would expect creaky floors these are very bad. Room above very creaky too. Room appeared to be near where heating system was got woken up very early every day. Also not many gluten free options available which was disappointing !

We have been going to the Lamb for 16 years, sometimes just me,my husband and our dog and other times with family both for lunch and dinner. We have never been disappointed. It has been run by the same people all the time we have been there. Great food!

Excellent, oldie worldie pup of the main drag. The staff, the food the accommodation was excellent. Only 5 minute from Bourton on the water.i would highly recommend . And as one reviewer said, the breakfast is worth getting out of bed for.

Very quaint and simple village inn with clean rooms, beer garden, friendly welcoming staff and a fabulous menu. We will definitely come back in the summer. There are a number of recreational walks around this ancient place.

Trying too hard. Massive portions, over and under seasoned food. Raw and over cooked veg. My dad would love it, I am not really into it. It had a pool table and didn't both doing good it would be better

I went in just for a few drinks with friends and the locals were awesome! We were watching horse races on Boxing Day and everyone was super friendly, including the busy yet timely staff. Would recommend!

A cosy but lively local pub where we came for a tasty Sunday lunch. Exceptional service from warm staff and the food was all homemade and delicious. £21.50 for two courses with great portion sizes!

One of our favourite pubs in the area. Landlord is really friendly, as is all the other staff. Food is generally very good, haven't had a bad meal yet and is reasonably priced

Excellent spot. Had a lovely room (the Windrush). Service was friendly and polished. Food was unbelievably good. We stay at lots of very nice places and this one did not disappoint.

A beautiful room (Sherborne suite). Friendly staff. Generously portioned and wonderfully traditional (with a twist) food! Idyllic location. Will definitely return.

Service ok, food indifferent. Pigeon was overcooked, pea and ham soup was a blended oddity served with dry bread. Sunday roast was ok but far from perfect.

Dont stay here if you want to sleep as the noise from the bar below will keep you awake until the last drinker decides to go home! Take some ear plugs
