Don’t use this garage if you value your safety. A cappuccino machine and a shiny bar do not replace a good mechanic. Jaguar Land Rover at Milton charged me £800 for a service. The following week the car broke down on the A34 with no hard shoulder. Even the breakdown guys were nervous it was so dangerous. This was the result of a faulty fuel gauge which I mentioned to Marshals and said that I was thinking of not having it repaired owing to the expense. Nobody told me that this would cut off the fuel to the fuel pump and stall the car. I was left in extremely dangerous situation and was then towed to another garage who told me that I was driving on the rim of the rear tyre. Marshall Land Rover balanced the wheels less than a year ago and failed to spot the dangerous tyre when servicing the vehicle the week before. I have had an appalling experience and was charged many thousands of pounds. My family have had Landovers for 40 years. We will never have another. Valuing fuel pumps over human beings is not right.

I have just received excellent service from Marshall Land Rover in Didcot, my 2012 SDV6 Range Rover Sport needed replacement door aperture seals on both sides following a failure of previous replacement parts.
I was looked after by Rebecca in service who was so polite and helpful, I was lent a very nice Jaguar Saloon at no cost. They completed a health check at no cost and found nothing that needed addressing. I asked them to look at an air vent that was not adjusting properly and to advise me of the cost to repair. Their technician repaired the vent and no charge was made, my car was also valeted to a very high standard.
I know that this new dealership had a poor start last year but it is now offering a very high standard of customer service, the new service manager also took time to say hello and to have a chat about how my experience of their service was.
Keep up the good work Marshall you have massively restored my faith in the Land Rover brand.

Highly questionable service; I don't understand why JLR don't read these and then fire those responsible as it brings their badge into disrepute. Its absolutely pitiful for this 'X from Marshall' to simple ask clearly very very irritated customers who have spent a small fortune to email a generic customer Helpdesk. I get far far more professional service when I have to call out Land Rover Assist - professional guys with genuine JLR training.

Follow up- this dealership have failed to rectify minor niggling issues with a Discovery Sport, failed ALL THE TIME to return phone calls, book the car in for warranty work, failed to confirm this and then not been able to do it. This would be utterly unacceptable even if these things were cheap. And there was me thinking Harwell were bad....My goodness these are terrible!

I took my range rover sport in today to the service department for a standard recall and a couple of other niggles and they were ABSOLUTELY fantastic dealing with my every need.
The reason for my review is that I am VERY upset with the fact I paid £35000 in January for my car and now its valued at £23000, I have lost £2000 a month since buying from you..... I was even contemplating a trade and buying another car FROM YOU thus keeping my business for the foreseeable future. The salesman i dealt with was very helpfull so i lay no blame at his door. VERY UNHAPPY with the way my car has lost value. Either the trade in was far too low or it was sold to me far too expensive in the first place!!! Maybe volvo would like to help and try and gain a customer???

My partner and I came to Oxford yesterday for a meeting with a client and whilst driving over had a problem with our Evoque (engine issue) My Girlfriend came over to the dealership whilst I attended my meeting in Oxford. Richard (Service Advisor) attended to the issue and to say we were impressed with the level of attention and service would be an understatement.

Although we still have an underlying problem with the vehicle, every effort was made to rectify the issue and the car was then thoroughly cleaned. We were assured that we would get back to Bristol without fear of breakdown.
I would highly recommend your dealership to anyone that I know in the area.

Regards,
Bill Pratt.

Immaculate show room, good selection of cars, we were interested in the Discovery Sport which they had both manual and automatic. Cars were very well prepared but unfortunately after looking at both for about 10 to 15 minutes none of the sales team bothered to approach us ( they were congregated at the far end of the showroom) this was disappointing, being land rover owners for 20 years+ we are in the market for a new car.
You would expect at least an acknowledgment from them, based on this experience I will not be recommending Marshalls and will go elsewhere to buy my new Land Rover.

2 stars for showroom, 0 for customer service

This is the worst company I've ever had to deal with. As a Transport Manager by profession, I have dealt with dealers and manufacturers of most brands and I have to say this company is in a league of its own. The quality of the work from the service department is highly questionable as are the service staff who are a clueless. Don't expect a call back when they say they will. The sales guy I spoke to last week still hasn't come back to me either. It would also appear that Marshalls staff are posting 5-star Google reviews on here to try to improve their Google rating - you know who you are. Shocking really.

Went in to check out buying a car.
One salesperson was new (she was fine actually, if a little light on product knowledge) so ended up being handed over to several people.

The problem came when talking to the finance manager- even though I have no issue with financing the car was made to feel as though I was a tyre kicker who was wasting their time because I wouldn't agree to the sale then and there. When I said I wanted to think about it I was essentially dismissed by her with a sarcastic and catty comment.

Congratulation guys, you just lost a sale.
Avoid.

Purchased my Evoque here through Harry, a genuine, down to earth salesman that didn't push or go for a hard sell. Having had it for 2 years now, I have used Ridgeway to carry out the annual services on both occasions and have always been left wholly impressed. This is on top of them always offering the best price when compared to Lancasters (Reading), who are absolutely useless and Harwoods in Basingstoke. A special mention goes to Matt Bianchini, the service manager who always goes out of his way to provide the best service possible, he and his team show exactly how it should be done.

I did read the other reviews before I decided to write one and I think people expect to much. I took my Range Rover in for a service and MOT just before Christmas and I received excellent service. All the staff were very friendly and polite. When I went to pick up my car one of the sales gentleman (I think his name was Stewart) even had time to show me around another car that I maybe interested in purchasing even though he look busy himself.
I would definitely take my car there again and purchase a car from them.
Thank you for the great service keep
Up the good work

Awful! Do not trust the service department. They took my car away for a service and damaged the paintwork during a courtesy clean, the car was then crashed into a motorcycle on its way home.
They agreed they were responsible for the damage (which was indisputable) but when i returned the car to be re-sprayed and fixed they refused to repair the damage! The worst customer service I have ever experienced, I would strongly suggest you avoid Ridgeway like the plague!!! If you want any more info contact jamesnettleton@nettletonandco.co.uk

After finaly getting the Freelander 2 fixed under warranty (3 months down the road) I get a phone call to tell me tgat they will not be including the oil in the work and tgat I will have to pay for the 6 ltrs my self. Thats Ok you you say could only be £30 -£40 at the most, think again £118 for 6 ltrs of 5/30 oil thats bought in bulk by the garage at less than £3 a ltr. I will be supplying my own oil for them to finish the job at £38 for the 6 ltrs needed.
This garage needs to wear a mask if they want to carry out day light robbery.

Dreadful customer service, shambles of a dealership. They are only interested when they are on there path to taking your money from you, even then they don't really value you as a customer nor have the knowledge or expertise to answer the most most basic question about what they are selling, along with a level of incompetence, which never ceases to amaze. The management know whats going on at their lower levels and yet experiences like this carry on daily. Land Rover - 'Below and Behind'

car had mot and service collected car had developed faults not there before service 12 phone calls promised would ring me back never did had to get head office to sort had my car for 17 days total shambles of a dealership not land rover motto above and beyond more like below and unbelievable.
If you value your car steer well clear of this dealership.
service video said rear brakes 80% worn not even an advisory on mot !!!!!

I bought a new Discovery Sport which had electrical/locking problems after less than 90 miles as a direct result of it not being prepared correctly at Marshall. To cut a pitiful story short, when the car was returned to us on Monday still with issues, the sales exec handling the transaction decided to hang up on my husband with the Marshall driver present. We could go on, but that tells you roughly what the service level is like...

I've been taking my Evoque here to be serviced for the last couple of years.
My vehicle was a few weeks form its end of warranty with a intermittent steering wheel control fault. They changed the steering wheel without hesitation. picked it up and returned to my place of work all nice and clean too.
I find all the staff friendly and courteous.
will continue to us them as long as I drive range rover vehicles.

Called for a quote for rear brake pipes on a 2004 discovery.
Staff were very polite and friendly however quoted me over £2000 stating 'it's a body off chassis job'
I paid a trusted garage £200 to replace both pipes with copper items that will never perish and am very happy.
BE WARNED.

got in touch with them via their carwow quotation. they said that in the last two days the price had gone up (i thought the quote said it was valid for three months) and they would send me an email. they did but the new price was £1500 more expensive. extremely shifty and not to be touched with a barge pole !

We just came in to enquire about buying some Adblue and they kindly filled it up for us cheaper than we could buy it. We waited 20 minutes which was not long enough as they kindly gave myself and my 3 kids hot chocolates and minced pies. Now the kids want to come to get Adblue every week....!!!!! Fab service.

Just collected my new car from the team at Oxford Land Rover and found the whole team to be so welcoming, friendly and totally professional from the receptionists to Fiona our sales person as well as the management team! Would highly recommend!!!

I've dealt with you guys on many previous occasions on behalf of friends & when you were at Cumnor the service was pretty good. Now that you have moved to Didcot the phone is never answered & after waiting it just stops.

Check the value of your car before trading-in here. This company has just offered me £2500 less than the internet cash car buying companies and £5250 less than another Land Rover dealership on my trade-in against a £50000 purchase!

Service at Cumnor was very good. Since move to Didcot it has become hopeless. Promised call-backs are not made. They can't even give me a simple quote for a standard Landrover Service.

The worst company to ever have to deal with. I will NEVER buy another Land Rover. Tried to trade in a car and replace a 3yr old one and they didn't even bother to call or email back.

Amazing customer service from the Sales Executive (Leam Boggis). Friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and very helpful. It was sheer pleasure working with Leam. Top quality vehicles.

Had an issue on a warranty service item and the service manager Mark Fisher came to the rescue and sorted it out for me so thank you Mark, for making me feel like a valued customer...

Great Service, attention to detail, always made to feel welcome. Special mention to Owen and Luke for diligence. Won't go anywhere else

So we go into the show room 10:45 for a quote..
We leave the show room 13:00 still no quote from them for a new discovery sport.
