We arrived at The Stipperstones Inn on recommendation from someone we were staying with. The atmosphere was typical of a local small village pub and the staff were friendly. What let the visit down for us was the staff were more focused on the local guests to the point where we were waiting a prolonged period of time simply to pay and ended up having to pay at the bar which in itself was a long wait. The food was okay, nothing special and could quite easily have been made at home had we chosen to stay in. Oven chips in a pub should be illegal. I get the impression the Stipperstones Inn was more of a local drinking pub and I'm sure it serves that purpose well, however for visitors, there leaves significant room for improvement. We would not go back if we returned to the area unless changes were made.

Really impressed by this unassuming pub in Stiperstones. Service was friendly and welcoming. Great chat with the owner. It was really busy but that was great to see on a Sunday. Word has obviously got out that this place does great food, great drinks and great company. Coming from London it's a refreshing change from the gastro nonsense and high prices. The fillet steak was locally sourced and tasted fantastic. My wife had the gammon which was also excellent. I wish this was my local.

We've just returned from a four night stay and enjoyed it greatly. Room very comfortable, food and drink tasty and with a great choice. Superb position for leaving the car alone and walking over the Stiperstones and nature reserve. A good choice of lowland walks as well. Who could want for more? Thank you, Phil and Lara for a very good break in a great English pub! Don't forget to drop in to the village shop next door, full of surprises!

The Stiperstones Inn is a secluded pub and b&b which our party stumbled across during an afternoon stroll. We were greeted with a warming smile, served quality and fairly priced drinks, and the pub garden was second to none. Handcream in the loo: what more could they do? Whilst you're there, check out the little shop next door; It's a cave filled with products at affordable prices.

We have just spent a very enjoyable short stay at the Stiperstones Inn with our dog & it was delightful. Everyone is very friendly & the pub atmosphere is great. I was especially impressed with our lovely room & the food & service is first class so I am very happy to recommend this venue & certainly hope to return one day. Relaxing & stress free!!

This fantastic lovey old country pub nestles in the little village of Stiperstones. It is a traditional Olde World pub serving excellent food and a selection of local real ales.
Good starting or finishing point for walking up to the Stiperstones ridge and the Devil's Chair.

Smashing little pub with top quality B&B rooms. 2 small bars with friendly locals and simple pub grub style food. Haven't yet explored the surroundings but the views down the valley to the north are stunning.

Great sized very clean room with excellent decor. I recommend booking a table in advance since the quality of the food is truly first class whilst priced better than most country pubs of similar stature.

Very friendly, popular, welcoming pub. Serves food throughout the day - which is good to know after a time on the hills. Quite busy in the bar, but the lounge and dining rooms quieter.

Friendly to muddy aliens with only £20 in their wallet. Good car park. Warm after a hail blasting on Cranberry, Man 'up' Rock and Devils Chair. Twice a year for me. Love it.

Went to the Dash and Dawdle on boxing day with my extended family. It was lots of fun, and a drink at the pub was incredibly welcome afterwards. Very friendly staff and atmosphere.

A lovely pub, great food, friendly staff, and a robin that waits for you to leave your garden table so he can eat your crumbs. Altogether a very memorable and pleasant experience.

Visited twice for lunch. Menu resonably priced. Food very good. The pub is under refurbishment and so visit was a bit disrupted. Nether the less would recommend.

Lovely Inn to visit. There is a nice open fire to sit next to on a cold night.
Drinks are reasonable prices and the food is really good .

Great little pub. Home cooked food, friendly staff. Roaring fire, and they don't mind too much if you come in muddy boots.
