Good things:

-very pretty place, an old building transformed into a hotel conserving style and architecture of a classic upper class building

-nice furniture, maybe a bit old in some cases and in need of some renovation but somewhat gives it a great feeling of being home and in family

-staff is very polite, very kind maybe too much. They give you a feel of being at home too.

-a lot of green outside, you're immersed in nature. Beautiful views from the breakfast room, it's so cozy.

-Internet is free but sometimes doesn't work. It may reach your room

Negative things:

-even though it has one of the best prices around it is still expensive. We paid 223 pounds for 3 nights.

-rooms are to be renovated a bit, some furniture is somewhat too old. A bit everything has a feeling of it being too worned out

-Internet comes and goes sometimes.

-breakfast is so so, it isn't included, only cereals and juice are.

Conclusion :

I'd come here again of course, however if I'd find something else maybe a bit closer to Ryde and newer I'd go for that. But I'm not to complain. I enjoyed my stay.

Brilliant service and good honest food. We had a cooked breakfast our first morning over and the staff were very friendly even at that time of the morning. The breakfast was cooked to perfection. We also ate there on sunday evening the food was glorious, with plenty of meat with the sunday lunch and beautiful fish and chips cooked perfectly.

I would recommend this to anyone wanting a good filling meal

Myself and family having been coming here for years and have always had a wonderful time. The food is well priced and good sized portions. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and the restaurant is child friendly too, with a selection of books for them to read and colouring sheets and colouring pencils to keep them entertained whilst waiting for food (which doesn't tend to be long at all).

The hotel restaurant is absolutely lovely. The staff are welcoming and the food is plentiful and delicious, prices are reasonable. The bar is fully stocked with ales and lagers plus really good bottled soft drinks. I haven't stayed overnight so am unable to comment but if it's anything like its front of house staff then I'm sure it would be very comfortable.

7 of us went to the Appley Manor hotel for a celebration lunch. The food was good and we all enjoyed it, there was not too much of a delay on food and it was hot. The staff was friendly and helpful. When I wanted a drink half way through the meal there was a wait while a member of staff came to take the order at the till. Everything was clean and the toilets were nice.

One of the best holiday i had with my friends in Easter holidays. Rooms and Restaurant was very good and the family room was stunning and spacious. Staff was very friendly they helped us to plan our trips and the options available to explore near to hotel. Food quality was really good but expensive, still it meets the quality. We all loved it.

Good quality pub grub. Juicy ribs that fell off the bone, and a giant, well cooked mixed grill. Kiddie cocktails are a great idea, as is the collection of drawing / toys to keep the children amused.

Good value for money.

The staff were very friendly, the menu is large and rather cheap. The building and location is nice and accessible for elderly/disabled people. But, the cheap food comes with average quality, the food lacked character and was rather bland.

Staff are always helpful, obliging and courteous. Price and various menu's extremely competitive. Warm and friendly atmosphere, food excellent along with service. A brilliant place for everyday meals and special occasions.

The owners and staff are always friendly and helpful. The food is good especially Sunday lunch. If busy they overspill in the small dining room which is a really special cosy experience. Perfect for a private party.

Had the bass, even though it was £15. A bit overpriced for what I got. Another in my party found 3 bones in hers. Not as good as the previous 3 times I've ordered the bass. Will choose something else next time.

We went for Christmas dinner here this year. Found service to be a little rushed, food was okay but nothing special for the price of the meal. Plenty of food on offer though and staff really attentive

My mum lives locally and we go there several times a year including news years eve for at least the last 8 years. Never been disappointed, good food and service and children friendly.

Dr was talking about anesthesia is more invigorating than this. However the desert was delicious! Staff friendly, décor dashed, lots of choices on the menu, too many menus. Tasty

They just do the best breakfasts and the staff are very friendly, happy and very good at their job with great customer relation skills and communication :)

Really good at being average. It's a budget restaurant with bar service only but if you don't expect too much then it does the job.

Ideal place to take the family for a meal. An extensive menu with something for everyone! Make sure you reserve a table at weekends.

They Forgot side dishes and puddings, prices to high for what we got would not reccomend this place for value for money or food.

Looks lovely when you drive into the grounds, then you walk inside and it's horrible! Reminded me of an old Berni Inn
