I have just had my wedding at Beamish Hall and I was so impressed that I had to get my review on ASAP. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the grounds are amazing so we can't wait to see our photographs. The staff are friendly and welcoming and go out of their way to help and I would just like to specifically mention Matt and Daniel as they saved me an embarrassment when I ran out of alcohol to fill my favours and went to asda to get me more, not many places would be prepared to do that for you so I would like to send an extra special thankyou to them. The food was fantastic, the rooms were spacious and I am gutted I didn't actually get to make use of the huge jacuzzi bath in our room. We stayed in the Charon apartment the night before the wedding and it was absolutely fantastic and huge it was great for all of us to get ready in the morning. All of our guests said the wedding was amazing and it was the best place they had been for a wedding. Our day was amazing and I would not hesitate for 1 second to recommend this beautiful place for a wedding venue. So thankyou to all of you who were involved in our day.

We stayed here a couple of weeks ago for just 1 night. Lovely place and very English (which I loved as it just oozed history) the staff were very friendly and breakfast was extremely tasty with plenty of choice. The only thing about the room was that the double bed was tiny, and if we stayed again I would upgrade the room, just for the bed.
We done the beamish brewery tour and tasted some real ale, and purchased a 9 pint barrel, which tasted nothing like the beer when opened and was really cloudy, so I would not bother with them. We went to The Stables restaurant and had dinner, food was very good and reasonably priced and the staffs were a bit rushed but service was ok.
We would defiantly return and eat there but not bother with the beer, but all in all very nice place.

Wedding Stayover - fantastic building and surroundings when pulling into the grounds of the hotel made increasingly better by the warm welcome from staff in reception. Check in was very quick and welcoming.

Our room was good - I would say the bed was a little small but having spoke to other people at the wedding bed is room dependant. Overall the room was clean, tidy and decorated to match the theme of the hotel.

Breakfast staff were fantastic on both mornings, attentive and non harrassy just what you need on a morning!

Overall great stay and would recommend.

A very welcoming venue for all sorts of occasions. I attended for a naming ceremony. There was also a wedding taking place, as well as a bridal shower. Being all at the same time, the guests from the different events gathered often in the communal area, meaning I could have easily been on the wedding's professional photographs. I felt that the three events should have been well separated so as not to intrude on someone else's special day. Nevertheless, the service was excellent.

Recently attended a party in the Winter Gardens. Both the Hall and in particular the Winter Gardens are beautiful. The staff were very welcoming and pleasant. Personally, the food I had was fine, though that which should have been hot was more like warm and would have been better if had been put out in something to keep it hot rather than in presentation boxes, which looked nice, but not practical.

Lovely surroundings would be ideal for a wedding reception or similar.

An old stately home in fantastic condition. Very well looked after. Our room was clean with a jacuzzi bath. In an old hotel like this I expected the furniture to be old and tired. Not at all. This is a hotel the owner must love. Our room was on the front of the building overlooking the drive. So quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was lovely. So much choice. The staff a friendly and helpful. I would find it hard to find a fault with it. I with I had stayed longer.

I attended here for a wedding, couldn't fault the ceremony, food or professionalism of the wedding organiser. The drinks however were above what you would expect. The overnight stay prices were extortionate for the quality of the room which are in need of tasteful refurbishment in mind of the period it is trying to portray, I will happily attend an event there as it will be by invitation only but I'd never go there of my freewill.

Went for a light lunch with some friends. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the bar, restaurant and outside seating was clean tidy and of nice design. The toilets were clean. The food was exceptionally nice, I had a roast Stottie of the day with chips, it came with a separate gravy boat, perfect, only criticism o would have is there were not many chips. Only about 10. The price was reasonable and I would return again if in the area.

Had a couple of nights here for a family get together and a visit to Beamish Open Air Museum. The rooms were oldy world, but well appointed, with a ridiculously comfy bed. The Stables Bar and Restaurant was an absolute delight. The food and Beamish Ales were excellent. The Staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommended! The most comfortable and relaxing hotel I've ever stayed in!

My wife and I enjoyed a very pleasant two night stay, Sunday to Tuesday; lovely dinner and a well stocked bar featuring the products of the hotel's microbrewery.
The staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful.
Beamish Open Air Museum nearby is an attraction that complements a stay at the hotel; there are other attractions in the area that well merit visiting and it is well situated for visiting Newcastle and Gateshead.

We had afternoon tea which was presented well with lots of variety. The sandwiches were full of filling, the bread was soft and they tasted delicious. The two different varieties of scones were tasty and full of flavour particularly the blackberry flavoured one. There was a good selection of cakes and tarts and an abundance of tea and coffee. Overall very tasty in a lovely environment with very attentive staff.

I have been fortunate to work here with my band Boys of Brass on several occasions both corporate and wedding related. It's a really nice place to be. No issues with Management whatsoever and friendly staff on the shop floor too. I've not yet sampled the place as an outright punter in any respect, but the food (buffet stuff) was bang on during our engagements. I'd like to return soon.

It's a nice place, but rather expensive for what you get. You'd be much better off staying somewhere that has a spa as there's little to do here. The Stables is a pub within the grounds of Beamish Hall and I'd recommend this place. Good selection of drinks, great food and good atmosphere with a nice outdoor seating area with heaters.

My wife and I love this place. So romantic and very historical. Well kept and maintained. Tremendous breakfast selection. Staff warm and friendly. Would love to be frequent visitors. Close to Beamish museum. Has on site micro brewery which has fabulous selection of real ale wine and cider. Warm cost and spacious bar. Friendly helpful staff.

Beautiful location I was attending a friends wedding. Food was really good venue had some lovely historical and picturesque features and I work at a nearby museum so was very impressed by the armour and tapestries. The staff were also very polite and nice plus it was lovely to go to the stables a nice little micro brewery attached to the hall.

I stayed here as part of a work trip. The food in the restaurant was delicious, simple British classics with good portions! I recommend the sticky toffee pudding! My room was a twin classic, which is not my preference but the room was comfortable and of a good size and I slept pretty well! Breakfast was quite good too! I'd recommend!

Really lovely stay here for a birthday treat. We had a deal with breakfast and a brewery tour, both of which were fab. We also ate in the stables bar for dinner which was amazing! We had a premier room with the jacuzzi bath, which I think is well worth it. Overall a really lovely place with friendly staff, and we would definitely return.

Disgusting attitude from the manager. If you have a problem don't expect it to be dealt with. Just expect excuses and to be called a liar. Do not go here! (The restaurant that is). I have no experience of the hotel. Might be great. But if they employ people to run it the way the manager runs the restaurant then I doubt it.

Wonderful hotel amazing location stunning grounds and our room with its antique furniture was lovely. Breakfast with its pure white napkins China cups and beautiful food was wonderful.a truly lovely experience marred greatly by a not restful second night when a large rowdy bunch of uni law students ran amok until well after 1am

Had a pleasant stay in room 208, room is huge with 3 bay windows, four poster bed, massive bathroom with rain shower and a double jacuzzi bath. All the staff were very pleasant, breakfast was great. only negative was the pillows were rock hard !...sure reception would sort if asked but we were too lazy to get up !

Good hotel, and expansive range of facilities. Around the back is the brewpub and restaurant. I only used this for a wedding anniversary celebration, but the catering and staff were very good, well drilled in service too. It is off the beaten track however, so you'll probably need a taxi or such to get you here.

Stayed on business. Everyone very helpful and friendly.

The room was not very big, and a little old fashioned, but clean and reasonably well equipped.

Hot breakfast was freshly cooked, and generous!

Very close to the Beamish Museum... thinking of going back there on holiday.

Large comfy room with jacuzzi bath and shower. Plenty of food choices at breakfast. The Stables Restaurant is a short walk from the hotel. Afternoon Tea was served in the Eden Room. Any cakes not consumed at the sitting can be boxed and taken home. Advance booking required. Good location for Beamish Museum.

Fantastic room. Very clean. Bathroom was unbelievable! With a double shower and double jacuzzi bath. Helpful staff. Amazing food at The Stables restaurant. Not overly expensive, but perfect for a special occasion or treat!! Will definitely be going back!!! It was truly a wonderful experience!

Attended a wedding here recently. Big modern bathroom in the suite but older fixtures in the rest of the room in keeping with the hotel style but could use some minor repairs in places. Not cheap but a good hotel. Mobile connection is near zero in the grounds but free wifi is provided.

What a lovely place to stay for a few days, members of staff were very welcome and nothing seemed a problem for them, room was clean and tidy, lovely bed , and the restaurant in the stables was fantastic the food was superb and the beer was excellent from their micro brewery.

The venue is a beautiful manor, and the staff was friendly. Although the drinks were a little but overpriced, it was a great experience and i would recommend going there. Especially the interior was typical old english and made it seem as if you were inside a movie!

A lovely country house set in the heart of Beamish Woods. Lots of lovely walks through the woods with a warm welcome back at the hotel and bar. It really gives you a sense of being in the country. Staff have always been helpful and the food has always been great.

Lovely hotel. Nice, clean room. Couldn't seem to get the heating right, it was either too hot or too cold but that was probably our fault and we were only there one night anyway so didn't ask about it. Really nice breakfast too if not a little pricey.
