Lovely village pub.
We went for the quiz on a Sunday which is £1 per person to enter, with a mixture of picture, general knowledge and a music section.
Free nibbles are passed around half way through, and they very generously allow you to ask about 3 of the questions you are most stuck on.
The losers receive a free chocolate orange and if your name is picked you get a go at deal or no deal.
A fub way to spend your sunday evening and the staff are lovely.

Nice and clean place, good beer. Good selection of food, however the pensioner special meals are very small portions and do not satisfy your hunger, you get bigger portions on the child's menu which are cheaper but cannot order, normal meals are slightly expensive compared to other establishments. Would I go here again, probably not.

Superb pub both for food and drink. Four real ales, Timothy Taylor's Landlord, John Smiths Cask and two guest beers. Good selection of wines and spirits.
The food is of excellent quality and very good value for money. I advise booking in advance, it can get busy.
This is my local pub and I highly recommend it. Enjoy.

Great friendly staff willing to help and offer their knowledge of the meals. All 4 of us had lovely main meals . Deserts are al a carte quality but pity no traditional deserts on offer . Nice atmosphere throughout the pub . Drinks were a little bit dear . The overall experience was great and definitely returning again.

Absolutely delicious food for a reasonable price. Great atmosphere and lots of parking. Definitely recommend to anyone for looking for pub food of the highest possible quality.

Plus they have John Smith’s on tap. Always a bonus.

A MUST visit to anyone in the area.

Stopped for Sunday tea on the way home from helmsley. Food served till 7pm on Sunday, this was the only place we could find to eat and the good was wonderful and very good value.
A little play area for toddlers helped pass the time for them while waiting to eat.

Staff offhand and told us there would be a 40 minute wait. One dining area stated no children after 8pm yet when we came back at 9 there were kids aplenty. Pricey and unlikely to have a proper chef.

Nice place and great service, steak pie poor, very tough meat inside - could’ve done with stewing before placing in the pie. Poor choice of vegetables. Menu arty farty, needs to be plain English

Good food and a decent beer selection, plus it hosts a beer festival every year which is well worth a look

Choice of craft beer at London prices! But at least they are drinkable. Food average and overpriced.
