A very well maintained NHS centre, with a pool and gym facilities available. The pool runs many classes, while the gym and sports centre have plenty of options too. There are courts round back.

There is plenty of parking, though it does get very busy at certain times. Watch out on rainy days though - some parking (which is marked as such) is liable to flooding.

The NHS side runs the local walk-in centre which does get very busy, but it well run, with doctors available until quite late at night, and nurses around until closing too.
It also acts as the local NHS X-Ray department for checks beyond what local doctor surgeries can provide, so may be a calling point for checks that don't quite need the hospital.

It also has running clinics inside for a mix of conditions - dietetics, nail management and similar specialties in the local area.

Great facilities and friendly staff. Even at busy times there is never any real problems, if you plan to use 5+ machines and expect to never wait a few moments at busy times then what you are looking for is a home gym. Very clean and tidy, I use both the gym and pool. Recently new more machines added to gym or upgraded too! (I agree though that the still broken card swipe to enter gym needs repairing asap!)

I would like to leave a review of Blaydon Swimming Pool

This pool is without doubt one of the best all round pools I have ever visited.
The changing rooms, the pool and it's surrounding area, the corridor entrance and staff are impeccably clean, well organised and welcoming.
10 out of 10!
Keep up the excellent work.

Always dirty toilets outside gym,Member of staff rude and aggressive and looks and acts like Begbie from Trainspotting ,no sauna/Jacuzzi,terrible music for a gym, mens changing room temperature in excess of 30`c,pointless complaining to staff because they never bother to try to sort anything out.Other better cheaper gyms close by

I attended here with my husband for his Aortic Aneurysm check. Oh my goodness the staff, wash and iron your uniforms. ( two nurses in particular) You look like you slept in them for a month. You are front line staff to the public have some pride in your appearance. Also introduce yourselves to the patients.

So modern and well maintained. This gigantic place is my home and haven. The gym is superb and the staff and bloody lovley, the pool in great and the walk-in center in right there for convenience. There are loads of amazing exercise classes and a massive field with posts which look over the beautiful lake.

I couldn't get an appointment with my GP so went straight after work. No GP available tonight however I saw a lovely triage nurse then a nurse practitioner who was able to put mind at ease till seeing my own Dr. They all do an amazing job and we blessed to have these facilities available to us ☆☆☆☆☆

Good gym and swimming pool it does get a bit busy at times but if you go off peak it's excellent. All the staff are friendly and will help you with anything and monthly membership from £19 a month to use all of Gateshead leisure centres you can't go wrong. This place is always spotless.

Its easy to get to can get bus direct from metrocentre to the door practically. Of all the appointments I've had here i don't think I've ever waited more than ten minutes to be seen. Have not had the opportunity to use the swimming pool yet but i will and will report accordingly.

The activities are good. The only thing is when instructors are off, which is often, classes are not covered which is frustrating when u pay a membership precisely to attend those classes... receptionists are not very friendly. The facilities and gym are excellent.

My first time here and was extremely pleased with what I saw.
There's a lot of places under the one roof, leisure centre is fantastic and look forward to going to the swimming pool.
Highly recommend this to anyone who hasn't been yet..

Always too busy, also the door to the Gym has been broken for 12 months so anyone can just walk in without being a member or paying. Reception dont bother stopping anyone supervisors too busy talking to their mates. Great if you want a FREE gym

Tried the gym on a trial. Ridiculously busy, queues for machines, way too expensive for the size of the gym and the facilities on offer. Didn't go back.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! My son had a collapsed lung and was diagnosed as being anxious they do not have a clue and should not hold a license for medical care

Friendly helpful staff in gym and baths. Free parking for Primary Care Centre. Several clinics held here and short waiting time for some appointments.

25m pool and gym plus lots of fitness classes. The pool is very busy in Sunday's so if you're a lane swimmer, later in the day is better.

Lovely pool. Lovely staff. Haven't used the other facilities so can't say. Very clean. Lovely with young children.

Don't bother, it's always full. Waiting times for the machines and benches. Far to small for a modern day gym

If you are there to long the chlorine starts being bad to your eyes so I recommend to be there 2 hours or less.

NHS walk in centre, clinic, swimming pool and sports halls all under one roof. Plenty of parking space.

Great local facility with leisure and health care. The NHS walk in centre provides minor injury care.

Rude, ignorant staff. Good facilities but gloomy gym. Steep prices for what you actually get.
