Fabulous little cafe. Went on a Friday evening, did book but there were a couple of tables free during the evening.
Lovely lady called sue the owner and chef. Sue will talk you through the menu vegetarian or vegan and gluten free. So much to choose from. Variety of teas too. No alcohol is sold on the premises, you can take your own. Can park outside on the street, spaces are limited. Lovely vibe to the place. Not open every evening, also do take away. Had the Chinese fritters so filling and delicious, you will not leave feeling hungry at all. I myself am a meat eater and I will be definitely returning.

Small but sublime vegetarian & vegan restaurant. If you have any food intolerances let the owner chef know before hand, and you will be beautifully catered for.

I have visited several times now, and the food never disappoints. It's a refreshing change to have decent tasty and varied vegan food.

The restaurant is not without its quirks, it is very small; which I feel does add to the atmosphere, I'd recommend booking ahead if you can, and, oh, the loo is outside in the back yard!

Overall a lovely little restaurant.

Called in here a little while ago on the recommendation of a friend for a quick lunch.

I had the mushroom burger on a bagel and it was amazing. I'm not veggie but would rate this alongside any high-end gourmet burger I've had in a number of much more exclusive and expensive establishments. Along with a delicious organic fresh coffee I was astonished at just how good my lunch was for the very reasonable price I paid.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming too. I really am overdue a return visit.

The food here is great, they're very friendly & obviously really accomodating of dietary requirements (don't come in and demand a steak, cleverdick, it's just gauche). The burgers, jalapeƱo crumpets, dhal, and any sort of cake all come personally recommended, even for carnivores. My only criticism is that I wish it were in a bigger property, and that they wrote a proper tea menu, because they've got so many cool varieties that should be properly showcased. That's it! Even the music is decent.

Visited on 30th November 2013 after wishing to sample good healthy food in Wigan. The venue is not necessarily impressive from the street and is small inside. However, the food was delicious and the hospitality 1st class! Would I re-visit? Most certainly, but I'd strongly recommend you carefully choose your time or arrange a booking because the number of tables are few in number.

Stunning. Great choice of Vegan and Vegetarian food, all home made with local ingredients. They cater for those with special dietary needs too, including a range of home baked Gluten free cakes. There is full English breakfasts and fresh cold meats for the meet lover and a wide range of drinks to embarrass any chain coffee house. Give it a try. You wont regret it.

I'm not a vegetarian and I'm actually a big meat fan (sorry guys) and so coming here I thought I'd miss the meet. But i didn't at all, the food was fantastic, the staff were really nice and it had a really homely feel. Definitely recommend :)

My wife and I visited The Coven for dinner and I can honestly say it's some of the nicest food that I have tasted. All freshly prepared by the lovely, welcoming staff. I would highly recommend a visit even if you aren't vegan or vegetarian.

Lovely little cafe with restaurant quality food. I love the quaint mish mash decor and the staff are always very friendly. Even my son, a notoriously fussy eater, enjoyed his food! I would definately recommend it to anyone.

Little cosy vegetarian place with plenty of vegan options. Quite importantly, this involves cake. Plenty of variety and the food is great. There's an outdoor area too.

Good food even if you're not a veggie. Makes a very welcome change from a greasy spoon for breakfast. Lots of interesting different teas.
