Well located, friendly check in. Getting in to the suite, it looked great to start with, but the furniture was rather uncomfortable. I went to have a shower (shower head positioned too low on the wall - you'd have to have been about 4'8' to fit under it, and even then it'd be a squeeze!) and it didn't work. Called reception and they told us to adjust the valve on top of the shower fitting! This didn't work, and a member of staff came up to the room. They managed to get the shower working to less than 50% capacity, but even at the coldest, the water scolded me when I put my hand under it. We were moved to a smaller room, where the bathroom was great. There were no plugs by the bed and the lighting was poor. Trying to do your make up was a bit of a struggle. The door was locked after 11pm but we were told 24 hour access was available through an intercom. We arrived back at the hotel at around 12:45, and didn't get in until 1am. A couple in front of us had been waiting even longer. It took the doorman from the bar next door to get the manager to let us in. The floorboards are extremely creaky and my friend getting up in the night woke me up, despite me being a fairly heavy sleeper. I wouldn't return here, but there are certainly worse places to stay.

Definitely not a 4* star hotel. Rooms are outdated. Bed is uncomfortable. No room service/bar/restaurant. Made to pay £100 deposit even though hotel had been paid in full months in advanced, which we did not know we had to pay and barely had enough to cover it. If id of known this fee I definitely would not have booked with this hotel. When we checked in the receptionist told us we can pay the rest when we leave and I had to show proof that it had already been paid. This was booked for my birthday and we wanted a luxurious hotel and we done our research and felt this hotel was the right one and certainly paid enough for it. Misleading photos and 100% NOT 4*! Wouldn't recommend to anyone. Also one of their staff opened our door for no reason while we were asleep then closed it again. Do not book !!!

Staff are friendly and the rooms are great, really spacious and the location is central. If you are on a stag or hen it's perfect otherwise do not stay here. Its above one of the main club bars which to say is unbelievabley loud is a huge understatement. If you're out until 2 or 3 then it doesn't matter but if you're here with work o a Thursday night then forget it. The WiFi doesn't work and it pretty much has 2 star amenities. If I was here with the lads on a session then i'd stay again otherwise no chance.

Good hotel. If you are visiting Liverpool it is a very good option to stay. The hotel is less than 5 minutes from 'The Cavern' (stop obligatory) and with a train stop next door. There are many restaurants nearby and a great mall so there is movement all day.

The only bad thing is the noise in the room, it was not very annoying but if you do not sleep it might be a problem. The room was very large and the bed was very comfortable. Everything was perfectly clean and in place.

An extremely satisfactory establishment. My stay at 62 Castle Street was made a pleasure by the helpfulness and home comfort exerted on you by the amazing staff. I have stayed in many hotels across the world but by far this small boutique hotel is the best I've ever rested in. I think the staff deserve a really good pat on the back. The food was mind-blowing to say the very least.

On word to describe my experience?

WOW!

Stayed for 1 night whilst Christmas shopping. Great hotel as a Base, clean spacious room. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Only negative point I can make is the hotel is situated on a busy road and there was quite a bit of noise through the night. BUT this is a hotel in a busy city centre and there will be an expected bit of noise outside so not a cause of complaint.
Great stay and definitely use this hotel again

The location is excellent, the room very large and complete. In addition to a king size bed, sitting area with armchairs and a chaise long bed. The large room, complete with all necessary bathroom. We got a room in skiing (204) so \\u200b\\u200bwe had 4 huge windows. Only missing as negative minibar and say that the Wifi did not reach the room.

Pleasant boutique hotel right in the centre of Liverpool. The rooms are huge, The staff is friendly. However being that is such a small place they don't have breakfast but on the other hand they are right across the street from all the places where you can have breakfast in Liverpool

Great place. Fantastic area. Would definatly be back rooms large and staff brilliant. Just the downside of a holding payment (full amount of booking +£50 when you arrive and then you pay when you leave - 3 days to get the holding charge back.

My wife and I would always stay at this hotel. However, after a 2 year gap the hotel is a shadow of it's former self. I experienced many issues with my room. I did get a discount, but I am sad to say i will not be staying there again.

Is right in the heart of the city with easy access to local attractions, nice size rooms, would be nice to have room service, as if you want to eat you will have to have it delivered from one of the many takeaways across the city.

Literally disgusting, something brown on the pillow, I had to clean the room myself. Decided to leave because I was promised a refund, then today they've refused the refund. Rude staff and dirty rooms.

Location good, few minutes away from Albert Dock. Shops on the doorstep. Executive room large, with seating area ,2 large windows. Only drawback,no restaurant or bar on site, but plenty around hotel premises.

Staff were very friendly but the room had a few problems. TV not working, air-conditioning not working but dripping on to our shoes, noise from nearby club was horrendous. Not a pleasant stay.

Lovely, large rooms, friendly staff, great bathroom, bed, towels, etc. I recommend bringing any toiletries, as they provide hand soap, shampoo and lotion only. Wonderful location!

Do not stay here if you intend on getting any sleep! The club next door is extremely loud in terms of the music and people shouting. I would not recommend anyone stay here!

Parents stayed here. In heart of city. Short walk to any amenities. WiFi was a bit dodgy, could not connect. But room very nice and would recommend.

Attended for an interview. The environment is pleasing, calming and relaxed. Haven't stayed here but would not dismiss it as a place to stay

Great value rooms that are sumptuously decorated whilst maintaining the period feel if the property. And a great nights sleep
