The southwater park cafe
Very rude staff indeed!! I walked in at the time they were just closing after being in the park with my children and thought I could pick up something savoury to take away for them to have on the way home. I was met with absolute disgust and nasty comments and when I told the man in charge he said they were rude because I probably was!!!! I told him I asked a simple question and they all stood in a line folding their arms at me smirking!
I, as a manager myself, would not accept this behaviour from my staff! This situation was unprofessional and awful for my children to see this. If I could take this higher I would!!

Nice little cafe, serving light refreshments every day, with views over the lake. Some times it can get a little buisy, but in nice weather you can make use of the outside seating. The cafe is only a 10 minute walk from the popular Dinasor Island play area, and 2 minute walk from Station Road car park. Parking charges can be found on the Horsham District Council website.

Two recent visits have been different experiences. On the first we ordered sandwiches and coffee - they were freshly made, delivered to the table and acceptable. On our second visit we ordered coffee and cake - the only decaff was instant. The flat white was excellent. But the cutlery on offer in the tray was not clean. Pleasant staff, reasonable surroundings.

They changed their weak coffee to real good stuff some months back, and now we go here again. The Barista who's been there the last three visits is THE most efficient, fastest and on the ball barista I have ever met and makes the coffee experience all the better. Stunning scenery here makes for a highly recommended cafe stop. Cheers guys !

This is a great place for young families. Not only does it have the 'Dinosaur' adventureland but it is just the right size for a youngster on a scooter to explore and be adventurous, all the while being safe. There is a good cafe also although it can take some time to get your food on a busy and sunny day.

I always go to the park. I'm privleged to live around the corner. Fantastic walks. Views. Tearoom has nice fresh food and you can look out at the lake whilst eating. Brilliant for kids. All my grandkids have visited. Magic for sun and Braai. Highly recommended.

Great food and lush looking cakes. Good portions at fair prices. Shame they don't offer child sized portions which is odd considering they are next to Dinosaur Island!!

£14 for two sandwiches, two cold drinks and two crisps.

Despite making a mistake (easily done. We are all human) with our order they rectified it were very apologetic and even gave us free cake! Would recommend this place to people visiting the park as the staff here are lovely.

Surely the two busiest days for Southwater Country Park Cafe would be Saturday and Sunday. The two days the cafe is closed is Saturday and Sunday!

I was rather disappointed to find that I couldn't get a soya latte. No soya milk.. Most frustrated.. Not bad though. Reasonably priced.

Best park for miles around! The kids love dinosaur island and we love the walk, the lovely lake and plenty of activities for everyone.

A lovely, busy cafe with homemade food and refreshments overlooking the lake. Thoroughly recommended.

Good value food. Only downside is lack of seating as it gets very busy at lunchtimes on a Saturday.
